Possibilities of psychological intervention with focus on the end of the career by professional athletes

4 Abstract This bachelor thesis is divided into two sections. It starts with a theoretical part, which is devoted to a theoretical demarcation of the end of careers in elite sport. Further the focus is on divergent experiencing of athletes, depending on two different types of career endings including presupposed ends and sudden ends of athletes' sport careers. Also, the theoretical part introduces the latest possibilities of intervention in sport psychology. The second part of this thesis follows with a suggestion for a research project. The aim of this research project is to present forms and processes of the ends of sport careers from elite athletes in the Czech Republic. For research purposes, a pattern of questions of a semi-structured interview is created. The interview will be conducted by sport psychologists, who will be trained for the special aim of the research project. The study is based on a qualitative methodology with focus on the end of careers from elite athletes.
Football performance and its determinants

This thesis focuses on enumeration of the essential psychosocial determinants affecting performance of the footballers. These determinants are divided into three sections. Personality of athlete as a key factor influencing his performance is discussed in the chapter one. Social and cultural environment are the subjects of the second chapter. Specifics and partial aspects of sports environments are presented in the third chapter. Definition of performance in football and the possibility of its measurement are defined in a separate section. Relationship between the pre- match emotional state of footballers and their performance in the match are verified in the empirical part of thesis. Comparison of footballers with general population is particular part of analysis. The study results showes significant but weak correlations between emotional state of football players and their performance in the match. Difference was found between certain emotions and personalities of football players and the general population. Communication skills of youth volleyball coach and their development by VIG

This multiple case study relates to the field of sport psychology describing coach's tasks and skills. Good communication skills contribute to performance enhancement, personal growth, and good interpersonal relationship and also to positive training and motivational climate. The aim of this multiple case study is to use the Video Interaction Training method for working with coaches in order to develop their communication skills and consequently evaluate utility of this method. This study helps to increase the number of Video Interaction Training application areas and shows the direction how it is possible to educate coaches and improve their skills. Level of football referees psychological preparation

Title: Level of football referees psychological preparation Objectives: One of the aims of this study is to describe mental skills and to highlight importance of psychological preparation for football referees and describe options of psychical preparation. Next of the aims will be found which mental skills are most using by referee by their work. Third aim will be attest hypothesis about using mental skills in correlation with experiences. Methods: In our study we used method of analysis for analysing psychological preparation, measurement method for obtaining data with using TOPS questionary. Next we by using statistical method of spearman corelation coeficient found correlation between using mental skills and experiences. Method of comparation was used for comparing results of TOPS questionary of footbal referees and TOPS results of other groups of sportmens. Results: On examined sample (n = 29) we found by using spearman corelation coeficient some significant correlation of positive and negative direction. Název: Komunikační dovednosti trenéra volejbalu Název v angličtině: Communicative skills ofvolleyball trainer Cíl prace: Cílem této práce je vysvětlit důležitost komunikačních dovedností sportovního trenéra a vysvětlit možnost využití metody Videotrénink interakcí k rozvoji těchto dovedností. Metody: V práci byla použita metoda Videotrénink interakcí, jakožto metoda intervenční, rozvíjející, vycházející z kvalitativních prvků. Výsledky: Uvedené příklady práce s trenéry mají pouze informativní a ilustrativní charakter. Prostřednictvím videonahrávek jsem chtěla přiblížit způsob práce s touto metodou v prostředí sportu a popsat sledované interakce mezi trenérem a hráčkou. Nevyvozuji tudíž z těchto krátkých ukázek žádné kategorické závěry, jsou jen jistým naznačením tendence vlivu videotréninku interakcí na rozvíjení komunikačních dovedností sportovního trenéra.
