The Evaluation of the Situation of the Child nd Family

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the situation of the child and family. The aim of the thesis is to explain the objectives, methods, procedures, advantages or disadvantages of the evaluation process. Then the thesis describes and evaluates how the evaluation process is applied in practice through casuistry and practices of social workers within social and legal protection of children. During the thesis we draw on theoretical konwledge, specialized literature, legislative and methodological materials, casuistry and the practical experiences of social workers from Social and Legal Protection of Children. Domestic Violence with the Focus on Work with the Aggressor

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the problems of domestic violence, focusing on the agressor. The thesis should also describe and propose possible actions to help aggressors within the Czech Republic, based on practice utilised by foreign countries. The first chapter is concerned with the definition of domestic violence, the approaches to its solutions and the occurrence of this phenomenon within the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the first chapter deals with theoretical causes of this phenomenon and describes the types and effects of domestic violence. The second chapter deals with the categorizations of aggressors as it is necessary for the description for the types of help which follow. The types of help are described in the third chapter, along with examples of foreign therapeutic programmes. The fourth chapter, in order to achieve the aim, is dedicated the possible support provided to the aggressors in the Czech Republic. In addition to the activities of the three organisations providing help, this chapter also describes the state activities dedicated to help aggressors. Towards the end, the proposals and possible measures that are necessary to improve the current situation are presented, based on the National Action Plans for the prevention of domestic violence. Foster Care in Practice of a Non-profit Organization

Bachelor thesis Foster care in practice of a non-profit organization monitors changes in the amended Act no. 359/1999 Coll. on social and legal protection of children related with foster care. In the introduction, the milestones in the history of foster care are mentioned. Afterwards, the thesis focuses on foster care and the way of safeguarding, funding and resourcing. It also mentions a legislative basis of foster care. It summarizes the rights and responsibilities of foster parents. The next section refers to the practice of a non-profit organisation of a Centre of help vulnerable children named ROSA, which accompanies families with children in foster care. By means of working methods and approaches used in the Centre of help vulnerable children ROSA evaluates specific course of accompanying of foster families and highlights examples of good practice. The Issue of a Barrier-free Space in European Capitals - Prague and Berlin

The aim of the thesis is primarily to draw attention to the issue of accesibility of public transport for people with constrained ability to move and limited orientatation in Prague, as well as the issue of movement of handicapped people in the capital. This situation is simultaniously compared to Berlin, capital city of the neighbouring Federal Republic of Germany, and the implemented alternative solutions are contemplated. Reflecting on the disproportional difference of the wheelchair accesible possibilities in both capitals is crutial, taking the areas of history, wellfare, legislation and finance into consideration. The oportunity to improve the situation and the future vision of the issue with regard to the freshly initiated barrier-free projects is highlighted in the end of the thesis. Methodology for obtaining volunteers in the NGO Duha

(in English) The work focuses on volunteering in social services, which is in our country increasingly developing , but due to the historical development , is still lagging behind the Western countries . The work deals with the management of volunteering. In some areas it is inspired by international experience, primarily by experience in Germany and the United Kingdom. Management volunteering is divided into five areas - needs mapping and planning, recruitment of volunteers, preparing and contracts with volunteers, management and motivation and supervision and appraisal. In each area the keep steps, which are according to the literature required for a successful volunteer program, are described. The aim of the work is to create, based on the study of domestic and foreign literature and consultation with staff organizations, a comprehensive "methodology for the recruitment and work with volunteers in the company DUHA. This methodology reflects a management cycle of working with volunteers in all areas and is based on the needs of both the organization and clients.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the influence of amendment to the act number 359/1999 Legal Code About Social and Legal Protection of Children on the work of social and legal protection of children department. The theoretical part describes the formation of the amendment to this law. It endeavours to define the most important changes in it, such as the individual plan of child protection, case conference or changes in the sphere of substitute family care (above all foster care). The practical part is based on a questionnaire, which was answered by socio-legal child protection workers from individual municipalities with extended competence from all over the Czech Republic.
The Needs of Families with Children Committed to the Core of Another Physical Person than Parents in the Administrative District of Kraslice Village

The bachelor's thesis analyzes the assessment of basic needs of children placed in one of the specific forms of foster care performed by the authority responsible for providing for the social and legal protection of children. The aim is to map the fulfillment of the needs of these children in a particular region and create an overview of the common problems encountered during evaluation phase and the identified needs of the individual child protection plan. The practical part consists of a presentation of research findings, aiming to propose a framework with a minimum set of measures which would allow to meet the needs of children in the given families.
Social Context of Personal Bankruptcy Debtors in the Central Region

Major aim of this bachelor thesis is to discuss the issue of debtors that apply for personal bankruptcy. Region wise will this paper cover the Central Bohemian region and the debtors living in this area. Theoretical part explains the main theories and processes that are crucial for understanding the issue of insolvency. Further will be introduced the insolvency law; and the reasons and factors that lead to a personal indebtedness and a personal bankruptcy. The practical part focuses on debtors from the Central Bohemian Region and provides thorough characteristics of these debtors. Several case studies will be presented, in order to demonstrate the reasons for indebtedness and to depict the insolvency process on the real cases. The specifics of working with children who have experienced physical abuse through the view of social workers

The aim of this Bachelor thesis was to find out how social workers work with children who had experienced a physical abuse and which strategies and methods they use during their work. Also, I wanted to discover all the involved subjects (organizations and other professionals) with whom the social workers cooperate in their job. Bachelor thesis is composed of the theoretical and the practical part. The beginning of my theoretical part is focused on issues regarding child physical abuse, historical aspects and also briefly the legislation of child rights protection. The other part concerns the risk factors of abusers and common features of families in which the abuse occurs. The last point of the theoretical part is to provide information about organisations and institutions in Prague which work with abused children and with other family members. The main sources were books, seminars, workshops and brochures I gained during my internship. The practical part is composed of two main subparts. Firstly, it is about the case studies of children who had experienced a physical abuse. The related materials were gained during my practice.
