Práce se zaměřuje na rekonstrukci stereotypu neslyšícího/hluchého člověka v českém prostředí, a to na základě vlastního dotazníkového šetření. Nejprve je představen výzkumný kontext - s důrazem na pojmy jako jazykový obraz světa, opozice vlastní - cizí (my - oni), a zejména stereotyp, i ve stručném porovnání s dalšími pojetími sociálního stereotypu, s Allportovým pojetím stereotypu a předsudku aj. Následně je pozornost věnována konotacím, kognitivní definici a lingvistickým metodám zjišťování konotací jako základu struktury stereotypu (data jazyková, textová, empirická). S pomocí českých slovníků a dosavadních prací je stručně popsána centrální poloha českého stereotypu hluchého (neslyšícího) člověka vycházející ze systémových, příp. folklorních dat. Jádrem práce je kvalitativní empirický výzkum vedený s inspirací v metodologii J. Bartmińského (100 respondentů ve dvou věkových a sociálních skupinách, otevřené otázky směřující k základním polohám stereotypu: vzhled, vlastnosti, chování apod.). V závěru práce je prezentována strukturovaná kognitivní definice spojená se sociálním stereotypem neslyšícího člověka v dnešní české společnosti. Následuje kapitola Diskuze, kde je kromě závěrů a zamyšlení věnována pozornost i konotacím spojeným s označeními hluchý a neslyšící a jejich úloze v utváření... The thesis focuses on the reconstruction of the stereotype of a deaf person (hluchý/neslyšící) in the Czech society, based on a questionnaire survey. First, the research context is presented - with an emphasis on concepts such as the linguistic picture of the world, the opposition own - foreign (us - them), and especially the stereotype, also in a brief comparison with other concepts of social stereotype, with Allport's concept of stereotype and prejudice etc. Subsequently, the attention is devoted to connotations, cognitive definition and linguistic methods of ascertaining connotations as the basis of the stereotype structure (linguistic, textual, empirical data). With the help of Czech dictionaries and previous works, the central position of the Czech stereotype of a deaf person is briefly described based on systemic, or folklore data. The core of this thesis is qualitative empirical research inspired by J. Bartmińský's methodology (100 respondents in two age and social groups, open-ended questions directed at the basic positions of the stereotype: appearance, characteristics, behavior, etc.).
