Tato práce se zaměřuje na problematiku zobrazení matky ve výtvarném projevu předškolních dětí se zřetelem na případné odrazy změn v pojetí role matky ve společnosti. Teoretická část je zaměřena na současný stav poznání o matce a mateřství z hlediska sociologie a genderových studií. Zabývá se též zobrazením matky s dítětem ve výtvarném umění první poloviny dvacátého století. Výzkumná část přináší nálezy o zobrazení matky s dítětem v současném výtvarném umění a dále deskripci a zhodnocení současné praxe vedení výtvarných činností v mateřské škole. Poslední etapou výzkumu je pedagogický experiment, který současně tvoří jádro didaktické části práce. Spolu s dalšími výzkumnými nálezy je i východiskem pro návrhy nových přístupů k tématu "Matka", zaměřených na překonávání dosavadních námětových stereotypů ve výtvarných činnostech vedených učitelkami v mateřské škole. Závěry práce tvoří shrnutí všech výzkumných nálezů, které vybízejí k didaktickému zhodnocení. This work is focusing on the issue of the portrayal of the mother in artistic statement of preschool children with a consideration on potential reflections of the changes in the conception of the role of the mother in the public. The theoretical part is focusing on present state of discoveries about the mother and motherhood from the viewpoints of the sociology and gender studies. It also deals with the viewing of the mother with the children in the visual arts from the first half of the twentieth century. The analysis part brings findings about the viewing of the mother with the children in the present visual arts and further description and the evaluation of the present practice of the lead of the art activities in the kindergartens. In the last phase of the research is a pedagogical experiment, which at the same time makes up the core of the didactic work. Together with other research findings it also is a starting point for proposal of new approaches to the theme "Mother", focusing on overcoming present thematic stereotypes in art activities that is lead by teachers in kindergartens. The concluding work makes up the summary of all research findings, which are encouraging to didactic evaluations.
