Finnish non-standard language and its use in the lyrics of modern songs Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with comparison of Finnish non-standard language and partly standard language in the lyrics of rock band Haloo Helsinki! and rap singer Cheek. Finnish non-standard language differs markedly from standard language in that it does not have a standard form and it is used primarily in oral communication. Moreover, Finnish non-standard language can, and is, also used for lyrics. The first theoretical part of thesis is an introduction to Finnish language varieties, non-standard and standard language and lyrics. The second practical part of thesis focuses on analysing the selected lyrics for the morphological, the syntactic and the lexical level of language. Non-standard language is analysed in all three levels of language, standard language only in the syntactic level of language. Fínsky hovorový jazyk a jeho použitie v textoch moderných piesní Abstrakt Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá komparáciou fínskeho hovorového a sčasti spisovného jazyka v textoch piesní rockovej skupiny Haloo Helsinki! a repového speváka Cheeka. Fínsky hovorový jazyk sa od spisovného jazyka výrazne odlišuje a to tým, že nemá štandardizovanú podobu a používa sa hlavne v ústnej komunikácii. Okrem toho sa fínsky hovorový jazyk môže uplatňovať aj v textoch piesní. Prvá teoretická časť práce poskytuje úvod do fínskych jazykových variet, hovorového a spisovného jazyka a pojmu text piesne. Druhá praktická časť práce je zameraná na analýzu vybraných textových piesní po syntaktickej, morfologickej a lexikálnej stránke. Hovorový jazyk je analyzovaný vo všetkých troch jazykových rovinách, spisovný jazyk len v rovine syntaktickej.
