Disertační práce "Obraz svobody ve světle dobových pramenů české společnosti nearistokratického původu na pozadí revolučního roku 1848" První polovina 19. století je z politického a sociálního hlediska obdobím velmi bouřlivým, jehož vyvrcholení nabylo podobu významného revolučního hnutí roku1848. Počátek 19. století, byť postaven na pilířích osvícenské politiky a ideálech Velké francouzské revoluce, byl zasažen dlouhotrvajícími vyčerpávajícími napoleonskými válkami, které posléze vystřídal konzervativně orientovaný vládní systém císaře Františka I. a jeho kancléře knížete Metternicha. Tyto skutečnosti hluboce ovlivnily myšlení lidí nearistokratického původu. Současně ale takto poznamenaná společnost si s sebou nesla obraz svého osvíceného "selského císaře" a hesla francouzských jakobínů. V neposlední řadě se pak pozvolna seznamovala se sílícími liberálními myšlenkami. Tím vším si dodávala sílu a odvahu k boji za spravedlivější společenský řád a své větší uznání. Především idea svobody podporovala vznik podhoubí, ze kterého během tohoto půlstoletí vyrůstá společnost na zcela nových základech politických, sociálních a hospodářských. Bouřlivý rok 1848 přinesl zásadní změny a nové ideové impulzy do celé společnosti. Myšlenka svobody se tehdy skloňovala ve všech pádech, stala se součástí nejen... Dissertation "The Image of Freedom in the Views of Historical Sources of Czech Society of Non-aristocratic Origin in the Revolutionary Year of 1848" The political tensions of the first half of the 19th century, a very stormy period from the political and social points of view, culminated in a significant revolutionary movement in 1848. Although Europe of the early 19th century was strongly influenced by the Enlightenment and ideals of the French Revolution, the Czech Lands were also subjected to long-term Napoleonic wars, which were followed by the conservatively oriented regime of Emperor Franz I. and his chancellor Prince Metternich. These developments profoundly influenced the mental worlds of people of non-aristocratic origin, even though this same social group still remembered the image of the enlightened "Peasant Emperor", Josef I., as well as the mottos of French Jacobins. Finally, this society gradually became acquainted with the liberal ideas then spreading from Western Europe. These liberal ideas encouraged this social group to fight for a juster social order and greater recognition for itself.
