Bakalářská práce se zabývá interpretací úryvků literárních děl obsažených ve středoškolských čítankách a zkoumá, do jaké míry mohou být texty čítanek reprezentanty literárních děl. Vycházíme z předpokladu, že krátké úryvky v čítankách nemohou pojmout veškerá dominantní interpretační směřování celého díla a studenti tak mohou nabývat mylných dojmů, co se týče smyslu celých děl. Chceme proto prozkoumat, do jaké míry a jakým způsobem mohou být úryvky zavádějící, nakolik mohou vést k neadekvátním interpretacím, zda lze pozorovat trend ve výběru úryvků autory čítanek, nebo jestli se jednotlivé čítanky svými úryvky podstatně liší. Postupujeme tak, že nejdříve vždy interpretujeme celé dílo, analyzujeme jeho jednotlivé motivy a vyvozujeme možná interpretační směřování. Následně to samé provádíme s jednotlivými úryvky díla z námi vybraných čítanek. Zaměřujeme se na to, k jakým interpretačním směřováním se texty čítanek přiklání a jaké mohou vytvořit dojmy ve studentech. V závěru formulujeme výsledky naší analýzy a navrhujeme řešení pro tvorbu takových úryvků, které by byly vhodnějšími reprezentanty děl, aniž by došlo k potlačení jiných funkcí (např. motivační funkce). Analýzu osmi opakovaně vydávaných či dosud užívaných čítanek provádíme zástupně na souboru děl spojených tematikou holocaustu (J. Otčenášek:... The bachelor thesis deals with the interpretation of snippets of literary works contained in secondary school reading-books and examines the extent to which texts of reading-books can represent the literary works. We start from the premise that short snippets in reading-books cannot contain all the dominant interpretative directions of the whole work and students may get the wrong impression of the meaning of the whole piece. We therefore want to examine to what extent and how these snippets can be misleading, how much can they lead to inadequate interpretations, whether a trend in selecting snippets by the authors of reading-books can be observed, or if the reading-books differ substantially in their choice of snippets. We proceed firstly by always interpreting the whole work, analysing its individual motives and inferring possible interpretative directions. Then we do the same with individual fragments of the work from our selected reading-books. We focus on what interpretative directions the texts of the reading-books tend to have and what impressions they can create in the students.
