Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku rozvoje informační gramotnosti a informačního vzdělávání v prostředí vysokoškolských knihoven. Jejím cílem je na základě teoretických a praktických poznatků navrhnout koncepci informačního vzdělávání v Univerzitní knihovně Západočeské univerzity. Teoretická část nejprve představuje klíčové pojmy, obsah, implementovatelné formy a současný přístup k informačnímu vzdělávání v kontextu s univerzitním prostředím. Pozornost je věnována i specifikaci současné role vysokoškolské knihovny, jako realizátora informačního vzdělávání a charakteristice stěžejních kompetencí knihovníka na pozici koordinátora vzdělávání, či lektora. Následuje přehled stávající nabídky aktivit zaměřených na rozvoj informační gramotnosti příslušné univerzitní knihovny. Praktická část podrobně popisuje průběh kvantitativního průzkumu studentských potřeb a preferencí v rámci problematiky. Závěrečná část práce, která vychází z výsledků průzkumu a skutečností zjištěných z analýzy aktuální nabídky vzdělávacích programů, se věnuje návrhu koncepce informačního vzdělávání, v níž jsou definovány možnosti změny dosavadní praxe a doporučení pro budoucí vývoj univerzitní knihovny tak, aby v dané oblasti plně využila svého potenciálu. The diploma thesis focuses on the development of information literacy and information education in university libraries. Based on theoretical and practical knowledge, the aim of the thesis is to propose a concept of information education in the university library of the University of West Bohemia. First, the theoretical part introduces key terms, content, implementable forms and current approach to information education in the context of the university environment. Moreover, it also specifies the current role of the university library as a provider of information education and defines the main competencies of a librarian as an education coordinator or lecturer. Next, the thesis provides an overview of the current activities aimed at literacy development at the university library. The practical part describes in detail the course of quantitative survey of student needs and preferences related to the analysed issue. The final part of the thesis is based on the research results and facts obtained from the analysis of the current educational programs. It proposes a concept of information education, which defines possible changes to the current situation and offers recommendations for future development of the university library so that it can realize its full potential in this area.
