Tématem této práce je komparace mediálního obrazu dvojnásobné zlaté šampionky Ester Ledecké v období Zimních olympijských her v Pchjongčchangu 2018, a to optikou pořadů Branky, body, vteřiny a Sportovní noviny. Vybrané pořady jsou hlavními sportovně zpravodajskými relacemi České televize a TV Nova. Analyzovány budou reportáže věnující se Ester Ledecké v období týden před začátkem Zimních olympijských her v Pchjongčchangu, po celý jejich průběh a týden po skončení (od 3. 2. do 3. 3. 2018). Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: teoretické a praktické. První je věnována veřejnoprávním a soukromým médiím, historickým souvislostem vzniku sportovní redakce v Československé televizi a teoretickým přístupům, které jsou využívány pro výzkum obsahu mediálních sdělení. Druhá část je tvořena kvalitativní a kvantitativní analýzou, která zkoumá vybrané příspěvky. Kvantitativní analýzou bude získán celkový počet příspěvků o Ester Ledecké a průměrná stopáž každého z nich. Dále výzkum zjišťuje, kolik příspěvků v rámci vysílání vybraných pořadů se věnovalo Ester Ledecké ve spojení se sportovními a profesionálními výkony a jaký podíl měla témata odlišná. Kvalitativní analýza se zaměřuje na samotný obsah jednotlivých reportáží. Zkoumá, jaká témata byla s Ester Ledeckou spojována a jakým způsobem byla sportovkyně v... The topic of this thesis is a comparison of the portrayal of the double gold medalist, Ester Ledecka, by the media Branky, body, vteřiny (Goals, points, seconds) and Sportovní noviny (Sports news) during the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games. The selected programmes are flagship relays of the channels Česká televize and TV Nova, respectively. This thesis analyzes reportages concerning Ester Ledecka in the period one week before, during, and one week after the Games, i.e. from 3 February 2018 until 3 March 2018. The paper has two main parts: theoretical and practical. The first section deals with both public and private media outlets, presents the historical context of the founding of the sports edition of the then Czechoslovak Television, and discusses the theoretical concepts commonly used for the study of media content. Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the selected reportages then constitute the second part of this paper. The total amount of reportages on Ester Ledecka and their average footage are derived by quantitative analysis. What follows is a research establishing which pieces are sports-related and which cover different aspects of the athlete's life.
