Práce se zabývá problematikou zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti včetně jejích socioekonomických aspektů v Ústeckém kraji v porovnání s Českou republikou v letech 2007 až 2015. V teoretické části je popisována podstata nezaměstnanosti (členění, příčiny, dopady, řešení nezaměstnanosti) včetně vlivu makroekonomických ukazatelů, fiskální a monetární politiky, se zvláštním zřetelem na aktivní politiku zaměstnanosti. Praktická část obsahuje samotnou analýzu Ústeckého kraje a jeho zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti s přihlédnutím k benchmarku České republiky s polemikou nad účinností aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti a jejímu nastavení. V práci je využita SWOT analýza Ústeckého kraje, která osvětluje slabé a silné stránky a identifikuje jednotlivé příležitosti a hrozby. Data jsou čerpána zejména z Českého statistického úřadu a ze statistik Ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí. The thesis deals with the issue of employment and unemployment, including its socio- economic aspects in the Ústí nad Labem region compared to the Czech Republic between years 2007 and 2015. The theoretical part describes the nature of unemployment (breakdowns, causes, impacts, unemployment solution) including the impact of macroeconomic indicators, fiscal and monetary policies, with particular respect to active employment policy. The practical part includes the analysis of the Ústí nad Labem Region itself and its employment and unemployment, taking into account the benchmark of the Czech Republic with a polemic on the effectiveness of employment policy and its settings. The thesis implements the SWOT analysis of the Ústí nad Labem Region, which describes weaknesses and strengths and identifies individual opportunities and threats. The data were gained from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
