Bakalářská práce "Grafická podoba měsíčníku Žena a móda (1949-1995)" se zabývá grafickou úpravou tohoto časopisu, přičemž zkoumá celkové i dílčí změny v jeho typografii. Časopis vycházel téměř polovinu století, od ledna roku 1949 do července roku 1995, kdy byla jeho produkce ukončena z finančních důvodů. Práce si klade za cíl tuto dobu rozdělit na úseky, které byly z hlediska grafické podoby časopisu něčím přelomové. Zaměřuje se nejprve na historický kontext, technické aspekty dobové typografie a vliv marxismu-leninismu na grafickou úpravu periodik. Obsahuje také stručný slovníček základních pojmů. V analýze grafické podoby časopisu se práce zaměřuje na fyzické vlastnosti, sazbu, písmo, titulky, obálku nebo reklamy, vždy v rámci příslušných období. Dále je pro srovnání zařazen také stručný nástin grafické podoby nejznámějších světových módních časopisů, které vycházely ve stejné době jako Žena a móda. Práce si všímá také nové konkurence Ženy a módy po roce 1989 a je doplněna obrazovým materiálem. Magazine ran from January 1949 to July 1995, when it was cancelled because of financial difficulties. The aim of this thesis is to divide the years of Žena a móda's existence into periods, depending on its specific graphical appearance. This bachelor thesis outlines the historical context, technical conditions and the influence the Marxism-Leninism had on the graphic design. Moreover, the basic vocabulary of typographical terms is included. The thesis analyses the graphical appearance of the magazine periodically, with the focus on physical qualities, typesetting, typeface, headlines, front pages or advertisement. Furthermore, the graphical appearance of the world's most famous magazines is outlined briefly towards the end of the thesis, as well as the magazine's competition after 1989.
