Dizertačná práca sa zaoberá problematikou architektonických a pamiatkových hodnôt sídiel továrnikov. V skratke predstavuje stav a vývoj celkovej spoločensko-hospodárskej situácie na Morave a v Sliezsku od 18.storočia až po 90.roky 20.storočia i vývoj hospodárskej situácie v cukrovarníckom priemysle. Venuje sa spôsobom a formám zakladania cukrovarov a sídiel ich majitežov. Stručne informuje o rozvoji výrobných technológií i práce v cukrovare. Analyzuje problematiku  zániku a  transformácie sídiel zakladatežov cukrovarov i areálov samotných od polovice 19.storočia až po súčasnosť. Predstavuje možné prístupy k ich transformácii a novému využitiu, ako i  spôsoby ich ochrany nadväzujúc na platnú legislatívu a medzinárodné charty. The Ph. D. Thesis deals with architectural and monumental values of factory owners residences. It introduces the position and the whole development of the socioeconomic situation on the territory of Moravia and Silesia since 18th century until 90`s years of 20th century, also development of situation at sugar industry as a whole. Pays the attention to manners and forms of foundation - sugar mills and its owners seats. Briefly informs on the development of technologies and work at sugar factory. Analyses the problems of downfall and transformation owners seats and areas itself from 19th century until the present time. Presents the possibilities of their transformation and reutilisation. Intends over possible access to protection of them following our valid legislative and international charters.
