V tomto příspěvku jsme se s využitím opakovaných fytocenologických zápisů pokusili zjistit změny vegetace v oblasti Popa Ivana v Ukrajinských Východních Karpatech po 70 letech. Dvanáct trvalých fytocenologických ploch nacházejících se v lesích 6. smrko-jedlového a 7. smrkového vegetačního stupně bylo využito snímků ze třech obdobích 1935, 1997/1998 a 2007. Zjistili jsme, že mezi lety 1935 a 1997/1998 prodělala vegetace průkazných změn druhového složení, přičemž dřevinné patro se proměnilo více než bylinný podrost. Naopak v průběhu desetiletého období 1997/1998–2007 nebyly změny druhového složení průkazné. Studovaná vegetace se v roce 1935 vyznačovala výraznějším podílem buku (Fagus sylvatica) a jedle (Abies alba) v hlavní úrovni stromového patra (I+II) a větším zastoupením světlomilných bylin, např. Campanula patula subsp. abietina, Festuca violacea nebo Hieracium transsilvanicum, zatímco na přelomu 20. a 21. století bylo větší zastoupení jedle (Abies alba) i buku (Fagus sylvatica) v nižších etážích (III a IV), smrku (Picea abies) v hlavní úrovni (I+II) a některých ruderálních druhů, např. Stellaria nemorum nebo Urtica dioica. In this paper we used repeated phytosociological relevés attempted to detect changes in vegetation of Pop Ivan Mount in Ukrainian Eastern Carpathians after 70 years. Twelve permanent plots located in the forests of the 6th spruce-fir and 7th spruce vegetation belt was used from three periods 1935, 1997/1998 and 2007. We found that between 1935 and 1997/1998 the vegetation underwent significant changes of species composition, while tree and shrub storey turned into more than herbaceous understory. On the contrary, during the ten-year period 1997/1998–2007 changes in species composition were not significant. The vegetation studied in 1935 were characterized by significant proportion of beech (Fagus sylvatica) and fir (Abies alba) in the main level of the tree layer (I+II) and higher proportion of the heliophilous herbs, such as Campanula patula subsp. abietina, Festuca violacea or Hieracium transsilvanicum, while the turn of the 20th and 21st century there was greater representation of fir (Abies alba) and beech (Fagus sylvatica) in the timber layer (III and IV), spruce (Picea abies) in the main level (I+II) and some ruderal plant species such as Stellaria nemorum or Urtica dioica.
