Vláknové kompozitní materiály s polymerní matricí - FRP (fiber reinforced polymer) jsou ve stavebnictví využívány zejména pro speciální aplikace, a to samostatně nebo ve spojení s betonem. FRP kompozitní systémy se používají často pro konstrukce v různých agresivních prostředích a pro vysokopevnostní kompozitní nosné systémy (ve spojení s betonem). Trvanlivost FRP kompozitů je dána složením kompozitního materiálu - určující jsou vlastnosti polymerní matrice, vlastnosti výztužných vláken a také způsob výroby kompozitu. Fibre composite materials with polymeric matrix - FRP (fiber reinforced polymer) are used mainly in the construction industry for special applications, alone or in conjunction with concrete. FRP composite systems are frequently used for various structures in aggressive environments and for high-strength composite carrier systems (in conjunction with concrete). Durability of FRP composites is determined by the composition of the composite material - determining the characteristics of the polymer matrix, the properties of the reinforcing fibers and the method of manufacturing the composite.
