Práce se zabývá současným stavem námořní dopravy ve světě, zdůrazňuje její význam pro světovou ekonomiku. Naznačuje některé z aktuálních trendů vývoje tohoto dopravního oboru. V teoretickém úvodu je uvedena charakteristika vývoje námořní dopravy a její klasifikace s důrazem na odlišení liniové a trampové námořní dopravy. This paper deals with current status of maritime transport and emphasizes its importance for the World economy. It shows some of the current trends of this mode of transport. A characteristics of the maritime transport development and its classification is given in the theoretical part of this paper.
