Gateway for Smart Home
Čechmánek, Martin ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
In area of Smart-home control, there are requirements for miniaturisation, security and advanced control logic of individual member of system at present. One of the challenges is the way of data collecting from terminal nodes and data processing, including their distribution to the others nodes of Smart-home. The goal of this thesis is to design and to produce Smart-home control node, which will be a gateway between sensoric net and database and will be developed and produced on embedded system with speci c HW boards. Functionality of this gateway should include error states, e.g. should cache sensor messages when the connection between gateway and server interrupts, or take care about time synchronising. The thesis describes theoretical side of gateway design and also practical side of programming and producing SW for the gateway in Smart-home system.

New iron chelators and antioxidants in acute myocardial model / / infarction and oxidative stress-induced catecholamine / / - effect on the basic biochemical parameters
Mladěnka, Přemysl ; Hrdina, Radomír (advisor) ; Geršl, Vladimír (referee) ; Patočka, Jiří (referee)
I. SUMMARY Background: Iron is an essential element necessary for many physiological processes involving oxygen transport, DNA-synthesis and ATP-formation. The fate of iron in the organism is tightly regulated especially at the absorption and distribution level probably mainly due to lack of specific active iron excretion mechanism. Any derangement of iron homeostatis may lead to appearance of free (unbound or loosely bound) iron, which can catalyse reactive oxygen species (ROS) production by Haber-Weiss chemistry. Cardiovascular diseases, particularly coronary heart disease (CHD), remain notwithstanding recent scientific advances important therapeutic problem. The most serious form of CHD represents acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The pathophysiology of AMI involves in most cases initial ischaemic period caused by coronary blood flow derangement due to a thrombus formation. Ischaemia alters substantially tissue homeostasis with subsequent cytosolic free iron appearance. Reconstitution of coronary blood flow (reperfusion) represents the only way for myocardial tissue recovery although on the other hand, it is linked with a release of free redox-active iron in the circulation and formation of ROS both intracellularly as well extracellularly. Iron chelators are a large group of drugs with very...

Effect of \kur{Nosema apis} and \kur{Nosema ceranae} on colonyof bees
ANDERLOVÁ, Jana
The work is aimed at assessing the influence of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae on the hive. The literature contains only a limited degree of information about Nosema disease, which caused by both protozoa, that?s why the main aim of this work is to gather all available technical information from various sources, to compare and evaluate them. The result of evaluating the information gathered then is how this disease affects bee behavior, which has implications for breeding bees. The content of this work is first the general characteristics of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae, their distribution, reproduction and development. A description Nosema disease, such as preventive and disinfecting measures to prezent it and how you can treat already established disease. The findings described by ptrotozoa Nosema apis imply that this protozoa is explored in the vast majority. Nosema ceranae is a recently discovered species and its research is not yet complete. Finally, the thesis summarizes the most important effects of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae on the hive. These factors include, fluctuating number of individuals in a hive, honey yields lower, in some cases death of the colony and it also changed the behavior of honey bees.

Latitudinal gradient of biodiversity and its dependence on rate of ecological processes and evolutionary processes
Krupička, Jan ; Storch, David (advisor) ; Kubička, Lukáš (referee)
Unevenness in the distribution of species diversity on the surface of the earth is one of the most striking phenomena in ecology. Latitudinal gradient of biodiversity could be explained by different rates of evolutionary processes such as speciation and ecological processes that control the ratebof extinction. The goal is to collect and evaluate the literature on the temperature dependence or latitudinal trends in the rates of these processes. Matabolic theory of biodiversity serves as the best explanation of the rates of evolutinary processes and their dependance on temperatur, while an explanation of the rate of ecological process is lacking in empirical data and theories that would put them in relation to temperature and latitude. Explanation by More individual hypotheisis was proved unconvincing.

Characteristic of brook lamprey \kur{(Lampetra planeri)} habitats in the Malše River catchment
HLAVÍNOVÁ, Lenka
The aim of the present diploma thesis was to prove the habitation of brook lamprey near Dolní Dvořiště. Biotopes with habitat preferences of brook lamprey were described. During the ichtological investigation of the catchment area of the Malše river in the years 2007 - 2008, brook lamprey was successfully located on sites in Dolní Dvořiště and near Všeměřický quarry. The sites had the same character as trout streams. Length -frequency distribution of the brook lamprey larvae was executed. The species assemblage of ichtofauna of the sites with brook lamprey habitation was described. In the years 2008-2009 other possible biotopes were mapped in connection to the sites in Malše and Tichá where brook lamprey had been located before.

Studium fotobiontů lichenizovaného rodu Lepraria
Peksa, Ondřej ; Neustupa, Jiří (advisor) ; Liška, Jiří (referee) ; Barreno Rodriguez, Eva (referee)
My study is focused on green algal photobionts - lichenized algae from the genera Asterochloris and Trebouxia (the last was studied in a lesser extent). The principal objectives of the thesis can be characterized as follows: 1) to investigate the chloroplast morphology in lichenized algae Asterochloris and Trebouxia; 2) to study the photobiont diversity in lichen community growing in heavy metal polluted habitats; 3) to inventorize the photobionts in selected lichen taxa (Lepraria, Stereocaulon) in order to reveal their ecological requirements. Using confocal microscopy, significant differences in the chloroplast structure of lichenized and cultured (free-living) algae were detected. Moreover, algae exhibited gradual changes in chloroplast shape and structure during successive phases of cultivation - from the relatively simple lichenized form to the complex lobate chloroplast with several ontogenetic (morphological) stages observable in mature axenic cultures. Several Asterochloris lineages and one Trebouxia species were detected in terricolous lichen community from metal-polluted habitats using phylogenetic analysis of algal ITS sequences. All these lineages represented photobionts with broad ecological amplitude and worldwide distribution. In several taxa of pioneer lichens, low specificity as...

Success of reintroduction programmes and behavioural changes in captive animals
Konečná, Ludmila ; Landová, Eva (advisor) ; Frouz, Jan (referee)
The aims of this study are to: 1) review the data available in scientific literature about reintroduction programmes in vertebrates (reptiles, birds and mammals). The success of founder population reintroduction into the nature was assessed by its population size, survival rate and other life history traits. The breeding in captivity vs. using wild-caught animals for reintroduction and breeding conditions (longevity of captivity) was checked. Breeding in enclosure versus semi-captive conditions was also checked. 2) mainly, assess behavioural and morphological changes of populations in relation with captive breeding in relation to success of reintroduction. Map the geographic distribution of reintroduction programmes of particular higher taxa and evaluate the IUCN species status of animals used for conservation programmes.

Biomonitoring of the effect of nuclear power energetics on the environment - present state and perspectives
Boháč, Jaroslav
The long-term monitoring of effects of the atomic power plants, especially at the regional level and with irregular extreme events, is difficult despite the complex biological and ecological response. The system of bioindicators is proposed for the monitoring of effects of atomic power plants o biota. Suitable species and biotopes on border of its distribution are recommended as bioindicators predictors for monitoring of climatic change.

Study of plasma protein binding of two bifunctional chelates labelled with In-111
Drymlová, Petra ; Lázníček, Milan (advisor) ; Trejtnar, František (referee)
Summary: Distribution of many drugs in an organism is significantly influenced by their binding to plasma proteins. Determination of the extent of plasma binding for a concrete drug is necessary for prediction of its pharmacokinetics after administration to the organism. The aim of this thesis was to determine binding of a new bifunctional chelating agent DTPA-oxn labelled by 111 In to the plasma proteins of human and tree animal species and to compare these results with the plasma protein binding of routinely used radiopharmaceutical 111 In-DTPA. For measurement, a method of equilibrium dialysis at 37řC was used. The results show, that binding of 111 In-DTPA-oxn to the proteins of human, bovine, rabbit and rat plasma is similarly very low as at the compared chelate 111 In-DTPA and impossible to determine by equilibrium dialysis and pharmacokinetically unimportant. Radiochemical purity was also determined for both complexes by the method of thin layer chromatography ITLC-SG. Measured value was higher than 98% for each compound.
