Laboratory task - system for measurement of optical fibre attenuation by direct method
Jančová, Silvie ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of attenuation in optical fibers and subsequent measurement using the transmission method. The theoretical analysis deals with the optical fibers themselves and their transmission properties with an emphasis on dispersion and standards. The original idea of the practical part was the implementation with a photodetector. Due to the small power of the photodetector, the practical part focuses on the demonstration of attenuation measurement using measuring devices that are commonly used in practice. In the laboratories, optical fibers with a length of several tens of kilometers are used for demonstration. The laboratory task will help students to master the basic units of attenuation and gain an understanding of measurement in practice.

The work on the standards in Ratolest Centre can be devided in three main stages. The first stage concerns the years 2004-2007, when the standards were intensely but not continually worked on. The work was primarily organized by one member of the staff and the management of the Centre. In this phase it meant mainly changes of practical dealing and communication with the clients. The methodology was worked out according to the momentary need, in methodological issues was no uniting character and respecting the standards was dispersed in different documents. On this stage...

TITLE: Analysis of the evaluation criteria of kindergarten headmasters by founders in Pardubicky region AUTHOR: Bc. Lenka Marková DEPARTMENT: School management centre SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Jiří Trunda ABSTRACT: This thesis analyzes the current criteria for evaluating the work of kindergarten headmasters. The criteria were created by community representatives as founders of the kindergarten. The thesis also focuses on identifying indicators leading to the fulfillment of the evaluation criteria. Monitoring headmasters views on the current criteria, which they are valued, is the part of research. Through the analysis criteria, surveys and informal interviews with representatives of the founders and headmasters the deficiencies in the structure and list of criteria were found. The research has shown inconsistency and formality outlined evaluation criteria with absence of their indicators. Based on the findings was recommended evaluation criteria to include all areas of the kindergarten headmasters. Indicators, that show the way to meet the criteria, were also suggested. Holec, Jakub ; Dvořák, Dominik (advisor) ; Knecht, Petr (referee) ; Žák, Vojtěch (referee)
The main aim of this study is to enrich the discourse on developing an intended form of the science curriculum in different country contexts. A multi-case study research design uses methods of content and comparative analysis to find answers to the research questions. The empirical part of the thesis consists of single case studies of England, Finland, Scotland and the United States of America containing contexts of the current curriculum development, description and interpretation of analysed structural and content phenomena in the curriculum of primary (ISCED 1) and secondary education (ISCED 2). Based on the single case studies of curricula, a comparative multi-case study is conducted, which focuses on the identification and interpretation of common and different features in the structure and content of the curricula to be compared. The studied documents can be divided into competency- oriented and subject-oriented curricula, nevertheless, each curriculum contains elements of both approaches. The subject content of the contemporary curricula seems to be more elaborated or at least more detailed than in documents of the previous decade. It is possible that even in the field of curriculum development there is political influence of neoconservative forces or an intellectual influence of so-called...

Optical fiber polygon for testing of services
Frolka, Jan ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis describes the types of optical fibers, their structures and properties. The basic parameters of optical fibers and standards for single-mode fibers are defined. The differences between the various connectors and the polishing of the ferrules are also described. The next section describes the multichannel transmission technology and its modifications, as well as the FFTx technology. In the next part, the work deals with measurements on optical fibers, the most common measurement methods are listed. The reader will learn what to do and also what not to do when manipulating with optical elements. The attached diagrams show the test polygon, as well as the measured and calculated values of the attenuation of its parts.
