There is analysis of type choise and silo construction, dimension design and silo strenght calculation. There is described possibility of empty space creation during the emptying and how to reduse them with the aid of active and pasive elements conductive to flow. This diploma thesis is deals with proposal of silo for various powdery materials. In the thesis is there calculation of type construction, design of the main dimensions and strength calculation of the wall thickness of the silo. There are also described active and passive stress state in the silo and their influence on loading and emptying. Then there is an overview of possible modifications the silo and other possible equipment.
Static analysis of the cylindrical tank

This bachelor thesis describes structural analysis of cylindrical tank. The goal of this thesis is creating a computational algorithm in a software called MATLAB, using which the structural analysis on idealized models of cylindrical tank is solved. These models are the rod model and the model with plane elements. This bachelor thesis is divided in several parts. Firstly, there is defined the structure, material and load of cylyndrical tank. Second part is about rod model, stiffness method and the calculation using this method. Next part is about model with plane elements, finite element method and its calculation. In the last part, there are results from each part and their comparison.
Sugar storage tank

The matter of this thesis is static design and examination of prestressed storage tank to 50000 tons of sugar. Computational model of the steel roof structure is processed and its effect on the silos. Loads is provided of sugar. Optimal design is performed and assessment ultimate and serviceability limit state reinforced concrete and prestressing horizontal silo wall including local load. Next, it is performed the design of a reinforced concrete of the plane bed and column and assessment at the ultimate limit state. The thesis is also drawing documentation, technical report and visualization of construction process. The aim of this work is to the design of the main components based on the required storage capacity tank, mechanical properties of the stored material and technical amenities.
Conversion of Grain Silo in Zlin

The subject of this bachelor´s thesis is a conversion of the grain silo in Zlín, which is situated at the western outskirts of the Bata´s area, behind the City heritage zone. Along the southern side of the property there is a railway no. 331 Otrokovice – Vizovice and a four-lane road which is the main traffic connection going through the entire city of Zlín. The main new function of the building is the adventure centre. It offers various activities such as trampoline gym, laser game, mirror maze, karaoke, indoor jungle gym for kids and adventure activities for adults. Apart from these, additional features can be found in the building, including a shopping mall, restaurant, offices, accommodation facilities and a café with a beautiful view of the city. The new function of the object brings an interesting feature to this part of the city and therefore makes the area more beautiful and attractive to people. Regarding the construction, the building has a rectangular ground plan, a flat roof and in the past it was functionally divided into 2 parts. The lower part with 6 floors was previously used as a fruit and vegetable warehouse. The second part with 10 floors is where the grain silos were situated. The load bearing skeleton is made of reinforced concrete round columns with a diameter of 650mm, in a ground plan grid of 6,15 x 6,15m which is typical for Baťa architecture. The floor slabs are made of reinforced concrete supported by stiffening secondary beams. The concrete frame structure is filled with brick masonry on the outer perimeter. The new functional use of the building keeps current state of the load bearing structures. A significant intervention is the demolition of walls between the silos, leaving only the load-bearing structure of columns and a modification the eastern and northern façade.
The implementation phase of gross upper structure of Silo Tower

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the solution of technology gross upper structure Silo Tower in Olomouc. The content of the work is realization of the main technological stages of this object. For the gross stage of the upper structure is processed design of site equipment, technological process for the implementation of prefabricated and monolithic concrete structures, schedule of work, itemized budget and mechanization plan.

The Bachelor’s Thesis is based on the architectural study which was done in the summer semester of the third year of my bachelor’s studies. The goal was to create an alternative way how to use this building. The new owner wants to use it mainly for storage and other, mainly auxiliary services. That is why concrete silos were torn down and the object should be turned into a standard multi-stage structure. The main idea of this work is to suggest alternatives what may remain a private initiative. Not only that would therefore not demand additional public expenditure, it could also attract a wide audience with its attractive content. The proposal outlines a friendly variant to the public resources and also has a positive economic benefit within the city of Zlin. That includes adding attractive features into the original grain silos‘ spaces – indoor skydiving, indoor diving, climbing wall etc. This would create an adrenaline centre accompanied with supporting features - commercial areas, a restaurant with a terrace and accommodation. Visual access to internal activities while maintaining the character of the Bata architecture from the main visual axis by this extraordinary object would not only be more attractive, it could also ensure its long-term future.

This work focuses on the production of transport silo (tank) at company Staveco Morava et al. with r.o. It explains the basic characteristics of silo and closer describe the transport silos (tanks). The next section describes the technological process of production and possible improvements in the production process. At the conclusion summarizes the findings from the production and incorporation of design options to streamline the production of this type of silo.
