Cross-border cooperation of the South Moravian Region

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of cross-border cooperation of the South Moravian Region. The theoretical part deals with the definition of terms such as region, regional economics, regional policy, and regional development. It also deals with the regional structure of the Czech Republic, NUTS regions or regional policy institutions. The last chapters of the theoretical part are devoted to the possibilities of financing development strategies and cross-border cooperation. The following is a part of the description of standard-specific research called Real estate market analysis in cross-border regions and the designation FAST-S-19-5899 based on which the topic of this work was selected. In the practical part, it characterizes the South Moravian Region and the village Mikulčice specifically described the selected project and its financing. The conclusion is a theoretical proposal of other financing options and an evaluation of the impact that the project has on the development of the region.
Investment Construction in the Frame of the Regional Development

The goal of the thesis is to create a general knowledge about function of regional policy of European Union in the Czech Republic and about drawing of financial resources from EU funds for a particular project. The introduction describes the concept of European Union and the formation of regional policy. In addition, it describes regional policy in the Czech Republic and the project in general. The practical part describes the project of Revitalisation of the pond in Čenkov by Třešť from setting the targets, applying for the reguest of subsidy, up to implementation, termination and final use.
The impact of cross - border cooperation on the development of the region

The topic of diploma thesis is the impact of cross-border cooperation on the development of the region. This thesis is included theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part are specified terms as region, regional development, regional politics and cross-border cooperation. The practical part focuses on description of socioeconomic factors of the Moravian-Silesian Region and Silesian Region. This thesis contains also questionnaires. Furthermore are analysed socioeconomics impacts of these regions, which are provoked especially by cross-border cooperation and tourism. The last part of the thesis is verification of efficiency of cross-border cooperation on the investment purpose.

The goal of the diploma thesis is to describe the issues of structural and regional policies of European Union in the Czech Republic and to create general knowledge about running of drawing financial resources from EU funds for a particular project from an applicant´s perspective. The theoretical part deals with the origins of European Union and formation of regional policy of EU. Afterwords it is focused on the formation of regional policy in the Czech Republic and the project cycle. In practical part the project cycle is applied on a particular project Enlargement of nursery schools in Jihlava – Nursery school Nad Plovárnou 5, Jihlava from setting the targets, applying for the grant and up to the realization of the project itself.
Assessment of housing opportunities in Prague and Brno

This thesis deals with possibilities of living in two biggest cities in the Czech republic, which are Prague and Brno. In the first part is stated definition of investment, structure of local self-government, regional policy and regional development. This serves as the background for better understanding of linkage between different regions, definition of territorial units, and means how regions are developed. In the next part of this thesis are mentioned basic indicators for the whole Czech republic, including trend in prices of properties, which is important for assessment of living possibilities. This is the background for evaluation of chosen locations against Czech Republic. In the next chapter is analysis focused on chosen locations, based on data of whole Czech Republic as well as data focused only on these two locations and its surroundings. The conclusion is that Prague has special position in Czech Republic. There are broad working opportunities, high incomes, but also high living expense. Brno is not as high as Prague in evaluated indicators, but in comparison of whole Czech Republic is still on the top. It is necessary to take into account higher living expenses in both Prague and Brno but on the other hand compared to other regions, offered possibilities and services are on high level.
Foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic

The subject of this bachelor thesis is a definition of regional development and foreign direct investments. The practical part deals with an analysis of foreign investments in individual regions of the Czech Republic and monitors years 2010-2020. It also examines the impact on regions and the development of living standards. As an example of foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic is used a company BOSCH DIESEL, s.r.o.. Thesis focuses on one specific investment and examines its impact on the development of the Vysočina Region, more precisely of Jihlava District.
The impact of territorial infrastructure development on the real estate market

The diploma thesis deals with how the influence of territorial infrastructure affects the real estate market in the border regions of the Czech republic, Poland and Germany. In the thesis are created databases about localities and realities, that are the outcomes of the data collection. Data collections mainly concerns the type of property, layout and the location of the property. From the data analysis is possible to evaluate the influence of territorial infrastructure in the context of average market values of real estates in the border region Czech Republic-Germany-Poland.
Development of housing construction in the border region

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of a selected segment of the real estate market in a specific border locality (CZ-DE-PL). Furthermore, the influences and development that affects the real estate market with a focus on housing construction in the context of regional development. Based on the collected data about available properties and locations, databases are created where properties are divided by type, layout and size. From these databases, the average market prices of real estate are then calculated, that are then compared within the border regions. The prices reflect all the positive and negative properties of buildings and localities that may have an impact on the price of real estates in the surveyed localities. The last part compares the regional development of housing units in border regions.
Hodnocení rozvojového potenciálu brownfields na území Moravskoslezského kraje

The diploma thesis on the evaluation of the development potential of brownfields in the Moravian-Silesian Region, in the first part theoretically anchors the concept of brownfields, specifies the basic concepts and definitions, describes the formation of brownfields and all the possibilities of their division into categories. Furthermore, it introduces the basic concepts within the process of regeneration of areas defined as brownfields and presents important national regeneration strategies and describes the legislative framework within the Czech Republic and the European Union. In the context of regeneration, it introduces the main actors in the process and the possibilities of their cooperation, and finally the advantages and disadvantages that regeneration brings with it. The last theoretical part consists of the definition of the concept of development potential and the possibilities of its evaluation, according to the available Czech and international literature. The empirical part consists of data from publicly available databases of brownfields, supplemented by own research and localization of brownfields. These data are first statistically classified, the structure of existing brownfields is created, their frequency within the districts of the Moravian-Silesian Region, in terms of original use, future use, availability of infrastructure. In the practical part, the actual system of classification of brownfields according to development potential and the subsequent presentation of data according to this classification is not designed. In the conclusion of the thesis, the results of the evaluation of the development potential of brownfields in the study area are presented and recommendations for successful regeneration and development of the brownfields are presented.

This bachelor thesis focuses on development in the municipality of Blučina. It examines both its development and its current state. Based on data and semi-structured interviews, the work forms a comprehensive view of the current state of the municipality and also presents recommendations for the various partici-pants in the municipality. The data base of the socio-economic profile of the mu-nicipality consists of data about the municipality from the Český statistický úřad, information available on the municipality's website and other information availab-le from internet sources. These data and information are further supplemented by semi-structured interviews with participants in the municipality, including re-presentatives from the private and public sphere. On the base of the analysis of the collected data, the thesis assesses the current state of the municipality and makes recommendations to individual players in the municipality. The analysis shows that the village of Blučina has been developing in recent years and its cur-rent state is good. The municipality has a good coverage of basic but also above-standard services for the population, especially in the field of education and leisure activities for children. The municipality faces the problem of high traffic congestion due to the absence of a bypass. The direction of the municipality may be significantly affected by the archaeopark project, the planning of which is no longer within the municipality's competence. The recommendation to the munici-pal council is primarily aimed at trying to resolve the traffic situation in the muni-cipality and to establish cooperation with the archaeopark project.
