Bachelor graduation thesis focuses on a waste produced by business entities. It also describes the methodology of quantification of commercial waste, which helps municipalities get more information about the effectiveness of the existing system of municipal waste. Using the methodology of quantifying of commercial waste production, "free-rider" effect in the form of business entities that abuse the municipal waste system, is modelled and quantified.
The Regional Aspects of Secondary Raw Materials Market in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the market for secondary raw materials. First, basic terms are explained together with the close analysis of different interpretation of the term "waste" and "secondary raw material", next "recycling". Then general principles of the functioning of markets are applied to the issue of secondary raw materials. It is discussed if theoretical knowledges described below follow the reality of markets in which commodities produced from the solid waste are traded. After that structure of the market is analysed from the mikroeconomic perspective. The objective of the qualitative research was to determine the impacts of the crises on the regional market.
The ways of financing of municipal waste

This Bachelor thesis is focused on municipal revenues that flow from the way of financing system of municipal waste. Theoretic part deals with ways how the system of municipal waste can be financed. Practical part is aimed at analysis of municipal ordinance public notices of municipalities. We explore the historical situation in each municipality regarding incomes and expenditures and than we make a comparision with the situation in present. In the last part we compare all recieved information.

Awareness and attitudes of pupils attending the second stage of elementary school in the Písek region on waste and waste separation. In this thesis basic information on waste separation is summarized and the awareness of this issue in pupils attending the second stage of elementary school is described. The theoretical part is primarily focused on general principles of waste separation. It gives an account of different types of waste, waste recycling and the subsequent usage. Programs for elementary schools, campaigns and competitions on waste separation are presented. The way how to separate waste nowadays is recommended, functioning of the waste collection points is mentioned and legislation on the subject is explained. In the practical part results of my research are presented. This research dealt with the awareness of pupils attending the second stage of elementary school in the Písek region on waste separation and whether these pupils separate waste at home or at school. This research was conducted using questionnaires with closed, semi-closed and open-ended questions. One half of the questionnaires was distributed in a village school and the other half in a town school. Two hypotheses had been stated before the research started. The first hypothesis was not confirmed by the research, but the second hypothesis was confirmed.
The waste management of the town of Třinec

This diploma thesis concentrates on the waste disposal in Třinec. The first chapter of the thesis is focused on the theoretical mooring of the waste disposal issue, both on the basis of the valid legal legislation, and the basis of the literature. The second chapter already concentrates on the area of the Třinec waste management itself. It describes the functioning of the waste management system, informs about the aims of the Waste Management Plan and evaluates their continuous fulfilment. Then it acquaints with the waste disposal of both the corporations and the individuals, and it also names the establishments competent to dispose with the waste, situated in the area of theTřinec town. Further, the thesis analyzes the waste evidence system of the corporations and the individuals authorized to the business, describes the weak points of this evidence and proposes to the necessary solutions. Hereinafter, the thesis focuses on the weak points of the waste management system funding, and also suggests the possible solutions on the basis of the valid legislation.
The comparison of system of payments for municipal waste in Slovak and Czech Republic

The Bachelor's thesis is focused on the area of municipal waste. It describes and compares the actual legislation of municipal waste (mainly methods of payments for municipal waste according to the present acts and codes) in Slovak and Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis is an application of the theory, described in the first part, to examples of communities from these two countries. The aim of the analysis of payments for municipal waste in two communities is to appraise and compare effectiveness of chosen kinds of payments for municipal waste, eventually to mention their absences and contributions.
