Uncoated cemented carbides
Benešovský, Radek ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the uncoated cemented carbide used in the manufacture of cutting tools. There is an overview of the most frequently used tool materials in the first part. The second part describes history, sorting, labeling and physico-mechanical properties of uncoated cemented carbides. The last part is focused on products of Pramet Tools, Sandvik Coromant, Seco Tools, Ceratizit, Walter and Iscar and their comparison in terms of cutting speed.
Optimization of a Deep Neural Network Label Encoding in a Multi-Label Problem.
Zaťko, Martin ; Novotná, Petra (referee) ; Hejč, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to propose a method of deep learning for the classification of arrhythmias from ECG recordings and to compare the effect of coding its outputs on the overall quality of the model. A 1D convolutional neural network was selected and methods of label coding using one-hot coding, ordinal coding, the method using an autoencoder and the word embbeding method were tested and compared on it. The obtained results show that the use of the word embbeding method can increase the classification capacity of the proposed network.
In vivo biotinylation as a new method of galectin labeling
Balogová, Soňa ; Bojarová, Pavla (advisor) ; Kavan, Daniel (referee)
Galectins are animal lectins with affinity to terminal β-galactosides. These lectins are characterized by an evolutionarily conserved carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD). Galectins are involved in many processes in vivo, such as cell adhesion; signaling; cell proliferation and carcinogenesis. They can be used as markers in certain types of cancer and also for the targeted binding of therapeutics in the diagnosis and therapy of cancer. Galectins have been defined as a protein family composed of 15 members (11 of which are known in humans). They are classified into three subgroups, according to their structure: prototypical; chimeric; tandem-repeat type. Galectin-8 belongs to tandem-repeat galectins, which consist of two different subunits connected with a peptide linker; they contain two different CRD domains, and are therefore bivalent. Galectin-glycan interactions are based on the affinity of galectin CRDs to glycans containing a terminal β-galactoside, and this affinity is formed by the set of conserved amino acids within each CRD. These interactions can be investigated by many methods, such as X-ray crystallography; competitive ELISA; biolayer interferometry. Due to the extensive involvement of galectins in biological processes, there are many methods of labeling galectins for their detection....

Meze pro vzdálenostně podmíněné značkování grafů
Kupec, Martin ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor) ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (referee)
We study the complexity of the λ−L(p, q)-labelling problem for fixed λ, p, and q. The task is to assign vertices of a graph labels from the set {0, . . . , λ} such that labels of adjacent vertices differ by at least p while vertices with a common neighbor have different labels. We use two different reductions, one from the NAE-3SAT and the second one from the edge precoloring extension problem. 1
Attitudes of high school students towards the use and users of marijuana and alcohol
Krátký, Vojtěch ; Nekola, Martin (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
This thesis deals with the attitudes of students of two secondary schools to marihuana, alcohol use and their users. Attitudes to alcohol, marihuana and to their users are topics frequently discussed in connection with changing perception of these two substances. This trend can be best seen in adolescents during the period of late adolescence which is the period of secondary school studies. The main aim of the thesis is to find out which factors influence the attitudes of students to alcohol and drug use and if there are any differences concerning those factors between the observed schools. These factors come from theoretical considerations which are subsequently tested in research. As the research showed, the students' attitudes to marihuana and alcohol use, and also to alcohol users are primarily influenced by significant others, among which belong mainly peers and their parents or their own experience. While the individuals form their attitudes to alcohol primarily according to their parents, in case of marihuana, the individuals, who have experience with it, follow mainly their peers and their own experience. Those individuals also tend to be more positive towards other marihuana users. There have not been found out any significant differences concerning the attitudes to marihuana and alcohol...
Computational complexity of combinatorial problems in specific graph classes
Masařík, Tomáš ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the edge distance labeling problem with specified parametres p, q and λ. We found a dychotomy for p = 2 and q = 1. So the problem is polynomial if λ ≤ 4 and it is NP-complete for λ > 4. The boundary is shifted by one prior to the vertex distance labeling problem, which has already been solved. Polynomial cases are characterized as some special paths and cycles with a few additional vertices. To show NP-completeness we use a well-known NP-complete problem of Monotone not all equal 3-SAT. That section has four parts: One for odd λ, one for even λ and two more reductions for λ = 5 and λ = 6. 1
Synthetic approaches for new labeling tags facilitating glycan analysis
Čmelík, Richard ; Křenková, Jana ; Foret, František
