Diagnostics, therapy and prevention of hamstring muscles injury in sport
HUŇÁČEK, Jakub
Hamstring muscle injuries are one of the most common injuries in sports, where are typically involved dynamic movements like acceleration and deceleration, change of direction, high-speed running/sprinting, jumping and last but not least acrobatic position of a leg. Hamstring muscle injuries are mostly caused by shortening of the flexors of the knee, weakening strength of the hamstring muscles, pelvic anteversion and glute inhibition or weakness. In my opinion coaches don't lay enough stress on prevention of this injury particularly in semi-professional level. If this injury occur athlete often doesn't undergo rehabilitation program. Athlete solve this injury by resting and after pain sings fade away athlete comes back to physical activity too soon and reinjured himself again. Reinjury is often more serious than the previous one. From my point of view hamstring muscle injury is a serious problem and it shouldn't be underestimate. The main point of this bachelor's thesis is to create rehabilitation programme for safe return to physical activity with minimal risk of reinjury. Secondly to find out the incidence of this injury by making a questionnaire for athletes. This thesis contains three case interpretations of football players from FC Rokycany, who have hamstring muscle injury in the past years. These case interpretations involve two examination and therapy. I honestly hope that this bachelor's thesis could help spread the awareness of this injury and its seriousness. It could serve as educational material for physical therapist, athletes and coaches.

Stehlíková, Nathalie ; Plevová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Kozel, Jakub (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT First name and surname: Nathalie Stehlíková Supervisor: Ing. Kristýna Plevová Title of the bachelor thesis: Prevention of damage of the posterior tigh muscles in active football players Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with prevention of damage of the posterior tigh muscles in active football players, also known as hamstrings. The aim of this thesis is to create a training unit to stretch and strengthen posterior thigh muscles. Furthermore, to create information brochure about before and after training preparations. This thesis is both theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with football, skeletal muscle anatomy and detailed anatomy of posterior thigh muscles, risk factors leading to injuries, injuries of posterior thigh muscles, it's treatment and therapy. A considerable portion of this thesis is focused on return to training process, prevention of the injury, regeneration and compensation exercises. Eight probands of AC Sparta Praha took part in the practical part. They were randomly divided into experimental group, which did the chosen exercises and control group, which only received information brochure but did not participate in the exercises. As a part of the entrance and exit testing, evaluation of shortened muscles, range of motion, modified muscle test and...
The influence of the training program on muscle activity of lower limb muscles in relation to the risk factors of hamstring injury at soccer players

CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAG Faculty of Physical Educational and Sport Department of Physiotherapy THE INFLUENCE OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM ON MUSCLE ACTIVITY OF LOWER LIMB MUSCLES IN RELATION TO THE RISK FACTORS OF HAMSTRING INJURY AT SOCCER PLAYERS Dissertation thesis Supervisor: Author: Doc. PaedDr. Dagmar Pavlů, CSc. Mgr. Iva Hnátová Consultant: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, PhD. November 2012 SUMMARY Titel: The influence of the training program on muscle activity of lower limb muscles in relation to the risk factors of hamstring injury at soccer players. Objective: Hamstring strain is a serious injury and requires long-term treatment. Hamstring strain has a high risk of recurence. As a result of this injury is long-term lost of competition and training. Prevention is necessary because of this. The mechanism and etiology of this type of injury is still uncertain and still under discussion. Multifactorial etiology is commonly discussed. In our opinion, the best solution is the training program, which is made on the basis of cooperation the physiotherapists and coaches. The goal of this training program should be primary prevention of injury or reintegration of injured athlete in the training program or the prevention of reccurenc of injury. As the result of this cooperation should be training program with all aspects of...
Case Study of a Patient after ACL reconstruction
Alhomod, Huda ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Slezáková, Petra (referee)
Abstracts Title: Case study of patient after ACL reconstruction Goals: follow the complications that found after examinations and therapy that based on according to it to eliminate it then observing the condition after all if there is improvement or deterioration, also showing the theoretical part about ACL and what is related about its injury. Methods: Thesis have two main parts which are the theoretical part that describe the ACL injury and ACL reconstruction, the other part is according to my knowledge which based on my studies in FTVS I did the examinations that patient need to understand the patient clinical picture then putting the therapy plan and treat according to the complications or deformities that found during the examinations, all based on FTVS studies. Patient will follow the therapy sessions schedule then evaluation of the changes in the end with the conclusion. Results: satisfying improvements after 8 sessions therapy that improve the knee joint stability with improvement of muscle strength, symmetry of the muscle tone, release the joint play, eliminate the pain that patient complain of, improve the ROM of knee also improve the confidence of knee joint this leads to correct gait pattern which patient need most and achieved. Keywords: ACL, Session, Knee joint, Examination, Injury, Operation,...
