The construction system is formed by load bearing walls and by prestressed concreted floor panels or in some parts by cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. The building has strip foundations. Its interior walls are built from sand-limestone bricks with acoustic properties. The perimeter walls are covered with ventilated façade with mineral wool thermal insulation. The heating of the community centre is powered by gas boiler connected to single-vent chimney with ventilation shaft.

Presidential villa in Slavín
Nagy, Ádám ; Pobucká, Slávka (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the project documentation for the construction and implementation of a two-story building in Bratislava. The building includes a representative part with the necessary technical facilities, two apartments, an underground parking garage and a private residential part. The representative parts are accessible from both floors with separate access from the private part of the residence. The technical facilities and the facilities of the staff are accessible from the first floor via a separate entrance. The first floor mainly consists of the apartment spaces, we can also find an entrance hall and a part of the private living spaces there. The underground garage is located on the first underground floor together with the staff and technical facilities, the representative space, two open atriums and a continuation of the private living space. The residence was designed in a way that the representative space is tastefully and seamlessly separated from the private parts of the compound. Doing so was crucial to fulfill the function of the building. The residence is located near one of the most prominent historical landmarks of Bratislava and is therefore designed to be a worthy, but not competitive neighbor to this historical site.

Nature in buildings
Kojecká, Karolína ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the influence of the green interior wall to the microclimate of the room. The experimental part of the thesis assesses the thermal-humidity microclimate, the microbial microclimate and the concentration of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the air. In the project part, a variant solution for the ventilation of an office building was prepared. In the first variant, mechanical cooling was used to cover the heat load, while the second variant used passive cooling and direct adiabatic cooling with a green wall.
Systems of energy efficient buildings
Šlampová, Kateřina ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is systems of energy efficient buildings with a focus on the building envelope. The first theoretical part describes the quantities that we consider when designing the building envelope. The second half of the theoretical part is with reference to the experimental part of the thesis focused on a special type of vertical perimeter structure, namely walls with live vegetation installed from the outside of the structure. The second, practical part of this work, deals with the design of heating and hot water supply for a multifunctional building. The design is elaborated in two variants - heating by means of radiators in the first variant and in the second variant by means of floor heating for residential units of the solved building. The third part define an experiment, which had the task of comparing the measured quantities on two types of vertical perimeter structures, namely a structure with growing greenery from the outside and an identical structure only without a layer of greenery. At the same time, the task was to check the possible influence of the applied greenery on heat losses, and thus the design of the heating system.
Civic amenities building
Gyepesová, Angelika ; Svoboda, David (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is the design of sports centre with nearly zero energy consumption. The thesis is consist of three parts. First part is focused on architectural and structural design. Second part is focused on building services designs. Third part is focused on acoustic assessment of the building. The building is located in Šternberk on a sloping terrain. It has two floors, irregular floorplan and flat roof. The capacity of the building is 104 people. In the building there are rooms for table tennis, spinning, TRX and a gym. There are also massage rooms and a sauna. The building includes a buffet with refreshment and a shop with nutritional supplements. The structural system of building is combined. The structural framework consists of prefabricated columns and beams. The internal and external load-bearing walls are designed from lime-sand blocks and the partition walls are from aerated concrete. The floor and roof structures are designed of prestressed concrete. Heating in the building and the water heating is secured by two ground source heat pump and a stationary condensing gas boiler. Ventilation is provided by air-handling units with heat recovery. Cooling is secured by one of the heat pumps. Electricity consumption is partially covered by photovoltaic panels on the roof. The building has incorporated rainwater storage tank for watering greenery. The third part of this diploma thesis deals with room acoustics and the closely related issue of reverberation. Part of the work is a drafting of acoustic modifications of the sports rooms based on manual calculation. The project aims to improve the acoustic properties of the premises by incorporating elements that have sufficient sound absorption. These are perforated false ceilings, acoustic wooden cladding with different perforations and green walls.
Office building, Moravská Nová Ves
Trčková, Michaela ; Bečkovská, Tereza (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The aim of this Master’s project is to develop a design documentation for the building permission of a two-storey office building located in Moravská Nová Ves. On the ground floor there are four offices or shops for rent. The first floor is reserved for a café or a bistro. There is also a part of the building which is used as a utility room. The first part of this project is the structural and architectural design of the building. The structural system is the combination of the RC frame and steel frame with steel roof structure. The facade system was designed as a semi structural mullion/transom curtain wall. A part of the ground floor is roofed by a walkable flat roof and semi-intensive green roof. The main roof is pitched roof with an insulation over rafters. The second part of my master thesis is dedicated to building services design. The building is heated by a heat pump and the system of warm water floor heating. There were also used smart led lightening, photovoltaics and rainwater treatment. In the last part, I did research in green walls, and I have made an evaluation how do they effect interior clime and which other benefits do they bring.
