Antropogenní tlaky na stav půd‚ vodní zdroje a vodní ekosystémy v české části mezinárodního povodí Labe: Transport kontaminujících látek. Část 2: Vliv ekologických zátěží na tok Labe

Tato část navazuje na práce prováděné v rámci projektu Labe IV, hlavním cílem bude posouzení vlivu jednotlivých ekologických zátěží na tok Labe. Jedná se o areály chemických podniků Aliachem Synthesia Pardubice, Spolchemie Ústí nad Labem a Spolana Neratovice a další možné lokality s významnou ekologickou zátěží v Polabí (Např. Lučební závody Draslovka Kolín). Jedná se o rozsáhlé areály a velké množství specifických polutantů. Na tyto konkrétní lokality v rámci zásadních zdrojových oblastí kontaminace Labe specifickými látkami bude zaměřen detailní průzkum a modelová řešení. Cílem dílčí části je provedení a vyhodnocení průzkumného monitoringu vlivu vybraných významných ekologických zátěží na ekosystém (voda, sedimenty, biota), včetně vlivu na podpovrchovou zónu (půda, podzemní vody). V roce 2007 byly vybrány vhodné areály s významnou ekologickou zátěží v Polabí, byla specifikována místa průzkumu a získávána data.

Hlavním cílem je posouzení vlivu jednotlivých ekologických zátěží na tok Labe. Provedení a vyhodnocení průzkumného monitoringu vlivu vybraných významných ekologických zátěží na ekosystém (voda, sedimenty, biota), včetně vlivu na podpovrchovou zónu (půda, podzemní vody). Jsou uvedeny podrobnosti k metodice průzkumu ekologických zátěží - limitní hodnoty, stručná metodika vzorkování a terénních měření, metodika prací ve vybraných velkých průmyslových areálech. Podle dané metodiky je důkladně analyzován areál Hexion Sokolov. Jsou uvedeny články publikované v souvislosti s projektem.

Efficiency of the Responsible Care program in Lovochemie INC Lovosice in period 2005-2010

This diploma thesis is focused on a little-known and therefore interesting topic. The work concernes the evaluation of the effectivity of Responsible Care Programme -- Odpovědné podnikání v chemii under conditions of the Czech Republic. Of great importance is the part of the work summarizing the motivation to implement RC programme, the barriers to implement RC programme as well as the evaluation of its benefits. The case study based on the Lovochemie INC Lovosice served well to evaluate the effectivity of RC programme and the application of the supporting RC activities . The enterprize has been respecting the rules of responsible bussiness practice since 1996. Discussion concerning the results achieved in the Czech Republic and Europe is also intersting. The danger for RC programme are similar voluntary instruments of environmental protection (e.g. ISO 14001 and EMAS), which, on the other hand, may act to support the results achieved within the basic indicators of healt, safety and environmental protection.

Chemical Industry in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the analysis of spatial distinction of the chemical industry in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the disposition of chemical production in the Czech Republic and using the tools of spatial analysis, mainly location quotients and the Lorenz curve, to identify areas with the highest concentration of the chemical production. Further to identify areas with the greatest potential for the localization and development of the chemical production. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the economic aspects of the localization of the industry and defines the chemical industry itself in a broader context. The practical part deals with the position of the chemical industry in the Czech Republic and focuses on the territory analysis which identifies the regions with the highest concentration of the chemical industry in the Czech Republic

Streamlining the material flow in Unipetrol

This Master's Thesis deals with logistic processes within Unipetrol group of chemical companies with main focus on material flow of polyolefin plastics. Thesis's key objectives are thorough exploring of material flow, identifying possible ineffective areas and suggesting solutions. All parts of the material chain (production line, packaging,warehousing and expedition) are carefully analyzed. Theoretical part defines general logistics, importance of supply chain management in connection with globalization, chemical industry specifics and methods used in analyses (inventory management models). Practical part describes Unipetrol and its departments and more importantly results of executed analyses. Ten selected products with the greatest impact on department efficiency are examined carefully. Thesis conclusion includes final recommendations and chain's weakest places that should be eliminated.

REACH and its impacts on companies

The structure of the thesis is divided into seven parts. The first one deals with introduction into new REACH regulation. The second part evaluates actual chemical policy and reasons for transition to REACH. Moreover this part also describes REACH and its goals and plans. The third chapter evaluates anticipated costs of REACH implementation in the European Union. The fourth part describes chemical industry in the European Union, its determination, structure and classification. The fifth part deals with anticipated benefits of REACH on chemical industry in the EU in general, while sixth chapter determines how REACH would affect directly companies in chemical industry. Situation of such affected companies in the Czech republic is described as an example in the last chapter.
