Folklore ensemble Doudlebánek in the years 1982 -2022

This final work is devoted to efforts to restore and maintain folk traditions and customs in the village Doudleby. The work consists of four consecutive chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the establishment of the village and its history. The second captures attempts to restore traditions and customs typical of this village. The third is dedicated to one of the oldest folklore ensembles, the Doudleban National Ensemble. The fourth chapter records the children's ensemble Doudlebánek, which is the future for the preservation of folk customs and traditions.
Celebrations of folk traditions with two-year-old children in kindergarten

This bachelor thesis is focused on celebration of folk traditions in the connection with two-year-olds children in kindergarten. In theoretical part there are mentioned general terms of stay of two-year-olds children in kindergarten, its develompment specifics and suitably education methods. This is followed by an introduction to folk traditions, its importance to the child and more detailed descriptions of masopust carnival. The last part of this thesis deals with the possibilities of fulfilling RVP PV due to holidays and folk traditons. In the practical part there was made change due to the limited operation of the kindergarten and the irregular attendance of two-year-olds children during COVID-19 quarantine. A qualitative research survey was carried out through interviews with kindergarten teachers focusing on how to use folk traditions in education of two-year-olds. Further there was processed, implemeted and evaluated a programme of masopust carnival celebrations with two-year-olds in kindergarten.
Using Nothing We Want to Change the the World

This work focuses on the evolution of Dada and its manifestation in Czech literature, especially in the twenties of the twentieth century, but, of course, it focuses on later manifestations too. It focuses on the main features of dadaism, like abhor technics, mysticism and rituality, destruction, universality, dada language or humour. Application of dada to czech discourse would be unable, without defining these features. This work focuses on real or potential dadaistic manifestations and theoretical reception in the czech discourse, which is represented by Karel Teige on the side of oppositors and the Devetsil group of Brno on the side of propagators. The last chapter is about the relations between dadaism and carnival culture, that wat theoretically formulated by Bachtin. I focuses especially on identical properties. Masquerade balls and masks in early modern culture

The bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts. The first deals with the phenomenon of the masquerade ball as a popular court festivity of the Baroque period. The second focuses on masquerade masks and masquerade costumes based on examples of selected Baroque paintings and portraits from the European region. The first part begins with tracking of the origins of the masquerade ball in the folk carnivals, studies their common starting points but considers their different goals. Then, there are defined three main sources of the inspiration for the masquerade. At this part are presented some particularly important masquerade festivities. The second part is focused on a study of masks, their iconography and meanings. The innovation of this work lies in the theme itself; which at least, from the art-historian position, has not yet been devoted a separate systematic study. The aim of this thesis is to summarize already existing pieces of knowledge on the given topic based on specialized Czech and foreign literature studies, and then through the analyses of individual cultural-historical facts to present an image of masquerade festivity from the point of view of the main inspiration sources, which led to its establishment. Winter landscape painting in the works of the selected Northern European painters between 1560-1660

The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of selected works of the winter landscape painting of the Norther European painters . Structurally, the work is conducted in such a way that it first introduces the evolution of landscape painting in the Northern Europe from 14.-16. century. In this context, three selected works are analyzed, whose scenes are set in the winter landscape. The cultural-historical context of the 16th-17th centuries is then outlined to familiarize with the circumstances of the time. century in the Netherlands. Then lives and works of the painters presented are briefly mentioned. The core of the thesis is the formal and iconographic analysis of selected works, especially from the workshop of the Brueghel's family and their followers. The landscape paintings with an impressive atmosphere are analyzed, observed are also habits and traditions of the ordinary inhabitants of the villages or towns whit is represented on the pictures. The attention of interest are also biblical scenes connected with the Nativity of Chist or folk celebrations of Christian feats during the winter. The Winter in the Genre Painting of the Norther European Painters of the 16th and 17th Centuries

The master thesis called Winter in genre painting of the Northern European region in the 16th and 17th-century focuses with the theme of winter period performed on the works of selected artists from Northern Europe. It deals not only with her impressive atmosphere but mainly observes the habits and traditions of the ordinary inhabitants of the villages or towns what is represented on the pictures. The attention of interest is also biblical scenes connected with the Nativity of Christ or folk celebrations of Christian feats during the winter. On selected themes can further explore the forms of winter pleasures of ordinary people or hunting. The purpose of this work is to reflect the importance of winter landscape with reference to the life of a common inhabitants taking into account the socio-historical context of the Netherlands 16th - 17th century. Negotiating the Place for a Dance

The text focuses on the observation of the process during the features of traditional culture are transformed for the purposes of the present urban context. The study explores a rural carnival (called masopust in Czech Republic) in some districts of Prague since the early 1990s into a present festivity involving local people as participants. The process of rethinking carnival and (re)constructing the dance and music repertory is studied from the perspective of urbanisation. The contribution is based on the observation of the dichotomy of public/private space appropriated by the dance. Its goal is to disclose the role of the recent music and dance repertory in the process of local identity building.
The Mexican Feast of Día de Muertos: Ist Evolution and Perception Via the Perspective of Mexican Identity

The thesis follows a thematic line in selected works dealing with the celebration of the Day of the Dead and various manifestations of the Mexican attitude toward death. It focuses both on its alteration in time and on the sources from which Mexican perspective of the death, as a part of the national ideological construct, springs from (existentialism, rural fatalism, Mexican Revolution, "philosophy of the Mexican character", tradition of the calaveras poems and graphics). The studied writings or sectors, which the thesis deal with, are: Nahua's lyric poetry, tradition of the calaveras poems and graphics, the large metaphysic poem of José Gorostiza Death Without End; chosen chapters of the essayistic creation of Octavio Paz, Carlos Fuentes and Carlos Monsiváis; Juan Rulfo's novel Pedro Páramo and Carlos Funtes's novella Aura.
