Outdoor crane runway
Klíč, Radim ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor´s thesis is a design and an assessment of a steel construction of an outdoor crane runway. The crane runway is used for operations of two bridge cranes. Each bridge crane has 40 tons of lifting capacity. The construction of the crane runway is located in a site of a factory for prefabricated concrete elements. The length of the track is 100 meters and the span of the crane bridge is 25 meters. The upper surface of cantilever is 10 meters above ground. A central beam of the crane runway consists of an uniaxially symmetrical welded I profile which is made from steel of the grade S355. Every single bar of a horizontal bracing beam is made from steel of the grade S235. Columns are designed as solid-web welded I profiles and they are made from steel of the grade S235. These columns are transversely fixed. Spatial rigidity in the longitudinal direction of the construction is provided by braking bracings. These bracings are designed as simple cross layout.

Design of prefabricated concrete hall
Cibičková, Viktória ; Chalivopulos, Paris (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the design and assessment of a precast concrete hall. The first part of the work deals with the selection of a suitable layout solution from several proposed variants and a description of the technical solution of the object. After the load calculation, which corresponds to the nature of the building's use and climatic conditions, is followed by an assessment of selected elements of the structure, such as a typical purlin, girder, columns and foundation structures. The static assessment was determined through computational models and was accompanied by a manual simplified calculation check. The next part is devoted to creating a study of the structure's behavior. In the study, the design of several versions of the steel bracing system of the object was evaluated. The task was to choose the most suitable variant. Another goal of the study was the evaluation of the results of the global model from the nonlinear assessment through the software, as well as the evaluation of the results of the deformation caused by entering flexible supports into the computer software. In the last part, the proposed structure is demonstrated through assembly drawings, drawings of the shape and reinforcement of selected elements, drawings of assembly details, bearings and forgings. Visualizations of the object are part of the drawing documentation.
Design of concrete structure of the Letná hotel in Prague
Koníček, Jakub ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The presented master thesis contains the design of selected elements of the supporting structure of the Letná congress hotel. The thesis deals with the design of a six-storey hotel cantilever over 20 m long, which rises over the entrance portals of the Blanka tunnel complex. Moreover, the specificity of the whole project is the necessity to carry out the entire construction of the mentioned part without touching the ground. The described problem was solved primarily using two double to 3 m high prestressed concrete beams. One pair of beams is designed above the roof plane and the other below the plane of the first floor in the cantilever. The tensile forces induced in the vertical supports are transferred by the prestressed columns and with the help of the walls. Construction without ground contact is carried out using suspension on temporary hangers. In the present thesis work, the main beam of the cantilever H1, D1, reinforced concrete slabs of given levels forming the T-section flange of the main beams, the spread walls, the transverse walls under the transversal frames with the main beams and the respective columns have been designed. SCIA Engeneer 22.0, Idea StatiCa Beam 22.0, Idea StatiCa Detail 22.0, PTC MathCad Prime 8, and MS Office 360 Excel 2022 were used to solve this complex construction stage-dependent problem.
Kindergarten FUTURUM
Lišuchová, Želmíra ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor´s thesis is design of a newly-built kindergarten FUTURUM based on architectural study made in my 5th term of bachelor´s study in the subject AG034 Architectural Design Studio 4 – Interior and Architectural Space. The project consists of construction study and realisation documentation. Two-storey kindergarten with 2 classrooms is situated in quarter Brno-Stránice near Brno city centre. The building is a part of complex of Christian grammar and primary school “Cyrilometodějské gymnázium a ZŠ“. The idea of project is to use local materials and renewable energy sources; local construction companies to be involved in realisation, to make a comfortable architectural space for education and self-development of new generation and encourage them to overcome fears, defy limitations and start thinking creatively. In symbols, it reacts to the influence of pandemic and hectic lifestyle on children´s psyche and sketches guidance to life with God in accordance with Christian values and ethic at this kindergarten. The newly-built object is located in the middle flat part of a plot, southwestern and northeastern part is sloped. It is block-shaped with lateral axis parallel with street Havlíčkova. There is a block cut out of the main block in eastern upper edge (terrace) and in the southern lower part (recessed entrance). The main entrance to a cantilever in the 2nd floor is from Havlíčkova Street over the footbridge on subtle columns. There are offices of director, teachers, isolation occasionally used for speech therapy, terrace, play room, sleeping room, locker room and washroom. On the 1st floor, there is another play room with facilities, technical and other facilities. Food will be cooked and delivered from school kitchen. Entrance from school grounds is nearby. Bidirectional wall slab structural system is made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete. Foundations too due to low load-bearing capacity of subsoil. Flat green roof has an internal drain.
Graphene Field Effect Transistor Properties Modulation Via Mechanical Strain Induced By Micro-Cantilever
Brodský, Jan
This work presents a new method, which enables the electrical characterization ofgraphene monolayer with induced mechanical strain. The device is a combination oftwo-dimensional field effect transistor (2DFET) and a MEMS cantilever, both of which can be usedto alter graphene properties. The first method applies external electric field to the graphenemonolayer. The second method is based on mechanical bending of the cantilever by external force, which induces mechanical strain in the characterized layer. By sweeping the gate voltage (VGS) inrange from – 50 V to + 50 V and measuring the current between drain and source (IDS) with fixeddrain-source voltage (VDS) at 1 V, Dirac point of graphene is found at ≈ 9.3 V of VGS. After bendingof the cantilever, the sweep is performed again. The induced strain shifts the position of the Diracpoint by ≈ 1.3 V to VGS = 8 V. Because the fabrication process is compatible with silicon technology, this method brings new possibilities in graphene strain engineering.
