European emission legislation
Rytina, Matěj ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to write about exhaust emissions and their influence on environment, briefly sum issue of emission standards up and mainly sum existing facts about the “Dieselgate” affair up. I wanted to objectively evaluate this issue in my bachelor thesis. Asset of this thesis was mend to be in fact that this affair has not been academically covered yet.
Analysis of a Vehicle Saleability
Hasmanová, Sabina Bohdana ; Leichmann, Marek (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
The object of this thesis is to focus on the major influences of vehicle saleability in Czech Republic in terms of the most important criteria, such as price, fuel consumption, colour etc. Part of the work will be arranged questionnaires. The survey indicates desirability of cars back for the last five years. This creates sales trend with a hint of future development.
Rankin cycle for waste heat recovery of internal combustion engines
Kučinský, Josef ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with Rankine cycle as a method of waste heat recovery for internal combustion engine. Firstly, internal combustion engine and some technologies on waste heat recovery are described simply. Secondly, Rankine cycle and its utilization in automobiles are overviewed. At the end, there are summarized results from simulations and experiments regarding the issue. It was stated in a conclusion that in case of waste heat recovery in automobile, Rankine cycle is a promising technology but it is not ready for wide application yet.
Assistant systems in car and aircraft control
Novotný, Timotej ; Horpatzká, Michaela (referee) ; Zikmund, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with assistance systems in cars and aircraft. The aviation sector is focused on GA aircraft. This thesis describes assistance systems used in cars and aircraft, their contribution to traffic safety and limitations of these systems. The comparison of assisting systems in the automotive and aviation industries shows the difference in the speed of development in individual areas, which is caused mainly due to strict requirements for safety and reliability of aviation systems. Furthermore, we can see the difference in implementation of systems monitoring the condition of a driver/pilot. Although the work of a pilot is more demanding than the work of a driver, today’s aircraft do not have a system for monitoring the condition of a pilot or an emergency landing system. Part of the thesis concerning future assistance systems in aviation is devoted to the system monitoring the pilot’s condition and the automatic landing system. Both systems are still under development. However, experiments have shown that these systems could be implemented in future aircraft and increase aviation safety. The last part of the thesis mentions the future of assistance systems, which create a path to autonomous vehicles.
Design of the car headlight
Struhár, Slavomír ; Bukvald, Jiří (referee) ; Buganská, Tamara (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is design of headlamp for a further unspecified automobile. The first part of the thesis is formed by Overview of current knowledge dedicated to the history, the present and the near future of headlamps of series-production cars. The following sections describe the objectives of the thesis, the process of the design itself and present the final design of the headlamp. The final part evaluates the results of the work with respect to the stated objectives.
Surface treatment of car body by frosted finish
Kubíček, Dominik ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the problem of surface treatment of car body. It is dedicated to the theory of this problem, to the treatment of metal surfaces, division of different types of treatment as well as to the necessity to protect the surface from corrosion. Next part is a summary of technologic progress and application of frosted finish on the car body. In the end, we point out some mistakes caused by the violation of principles of vehicle paintwork.
Evaluation of noise of ventilation outlet for a passenger car cabine
Libřický, Stanislav ; Vaňková, Marie (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with issues of noise ventilation outlets in a passenger car. There is a description of the noise reduction in the acoustic background, optimizing experimental measurement methodology and familiarization with measuring equipment. The next step includes measuring of individual outlet options, results post-processing and comparison of tested alternatives. Based on these results the best variants are chosen and measures for decreasing noise in the ventilation outlets are proposed.
Wind tunnels for automobiles
Gross, Arnold ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Čavoj, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on wind tunnels for automobiles. The first part of the bachelor thesis refers to the basic division of wind tunnels and to the main description of each section, which consists of. Then focuses to the monitoriest selected paramatres which are necessary for designing cars. The next part refers to the most efficient and the most important parts of the wind tunnels.el. The final part refers to examples of selected tunnels with specifyied basic parameters.
Passenger Car Internal Acoustics
Prokšová, Lucie ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the analysis of the acoustic properties of the interior of the passenger car by using the finite element method. Part of the work is an analysis of the excitation effects of individual vibration sources and the evaluation of the response in the interior of the cabin with a focus on the passengers of the vehicle and also solving the problem of the design of structural modifications in order to reduce the noise inside the cabin.
Fuel cell and vehicles
Zlámal, Josef ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
In the first part of this work a historical development of fuel cell, description of its construction and function including a comparison of currently used fuel cells is presented. The next part of this work is focused on fuel for fuel cells, its production, distribution and storage. The last chapters are dealing with fuel cell automobile, project of particular car companies and author´s assessment of individual fuel cell systems.
