Unicellular Parasites in Grammar School Teaching

The thesis analyses the grammar-school teaching of parasitic unicellular organisms in the science classes. The analysis focuses on the species responsible for health problems in the human population, which include genus Trypanosoma, Leishmania and Plasmodium, then Naegleria fowleri, Lamblia intestinalis and Entamoeba histolytica. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the species and highlights their importance as a threat for human health. The practical part of the thesis is a case study that analyses, using an interview, an approach to teaching protozoa at a selected institution (Gymnázium Jiřího z Poděbrad in Poděbrady), where emphasis was placed on the aforementioned unicellular parasites. During the interview respondents were asked questions about their studies, practice and their current teaching of biology. Subsequently, the attitude of the respondents to the analysed topic was discussed. The questionnaire addressed, among other things, whether the teachers teach the analysed protozoa, how much time they spend on the topic, what teaching materials they use, and whether they consider this biological topic to be relevant. Inclusion of a Child with Mental Impairment and Developmental Dysphasia in an Ordinary Nursery

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is inclusion of a child with mental impairment and developmental dysphasia in an ordinary nursery. The thesis is a case study of a particular child. The aim is to describe the issue of integration of a child with mental disabilities and developmental dysphasia in a regular type of a kindergarten. The thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the terms associated with the issue of mental retardation and impaired communication skills, defines the concept of developmental dysphasia, diagnosis of these children, cooperation with school counselling facilities, care system of these children and legislation connected with inclusion. The methods and results of a qualitative research are described in the practical part. A case study was chosen to be the most appropriate type of the research, which is conducted by the method of a semi-structured interview, observations and documents analysis.
Supervision focused on the preachers of CB

The diploma thesis aims to find such a form, focus, and way of conducting supervision in which the preachers of the Church of the Brethren (CB) could obtain what they need for their vocation, and the diploma thesis aims personal growth. To achieve this goal, it is important to understand the CB preacher in his environment and his needs so that supervision can be "tailored" to him. The theoretical part of this work aims to explore and describe the starting point, which is the organization of the CB and the profession of a preacher with all its aspects affecting his service. It also describes the conceptual and organizational framework of the case study and clarifies the starting points on which the supervisor is based. It deals with the concepts of supervision, reflexivity and a safe environment in supervision. The practical part in the form of an extended case study of three groups of preachers describes the process of introducing supervision for CB preachers. Pupil's Assesment in Biology

The thesis is focused on formative assessment in biology, specifically it describes its use in biology teaching. The aim of the thesis is to discuss formative assessment, its strategies, methods and processes that can be used in biology classes. The theoretical part defines school assessment. The topic of formative assessment is presented in the context of the types and roles of school assessment and also biology teaching. The empirical part, using the qualitative design of the multi-case study, builds on the data obtained by the in-depth interviews with two teachers. The aim of the research was to describe the way teachers assess students in biology classes and their attitude and knowledge about formative assessment. The two case studies illustrate how teachers perceive formative assessment as one of the possible ways to collect evidence about the knowledge of their students. The author asked about grading and its importance for the teachers. She was also interested in the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on teaching and assessment. The research showed that various strategies and methods of formative assessment are appropriate for biology teaching. Courtyards of Prague tenement houses and their revitalization in the view of their residents

The work aims to get a deeper grasp of the issue of tenement houses courtyards and understand their function as a specific type of space within city. This goal is to be reached with emphasis on users of this space in terms of how they use and perceive it. In the first part of the work, the reader can familiarize themselves with difficulties of urban space in the context of urbanism and sociology, history of courtyards of tenement houses in Prague and also their revitalization. The second part of the work consists of a case study of one particular already revitalized courtyard in which a series of non-participant observations and qualitative interviews was performed with 13 of its users. The concluding part summarizes the results of the qualitative research and it is shown, in connection with the first part, that tenement houses courtyards may represent a space supporting life quality in urban areas. Development of municipalities and rural areas in the context of EU funds

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the problem of structural funds in the EU from the point of view of development in municipalities and rural areas. The thesis looks into European Regional Development Fund and European Agricultural Fund For Rural Development and it follows up with operational programs (Rural development IROP, INTERREG), which are from these funds financed the most, and also concerning its priorities. There is also mentioned current socio-economic situation of municipalities in Moravian-Silesian region. The second part of this thesis is focused on possibilities of development of selected municipality in the border area. It evaluates its current situation from the perspective of using EU funds. In the end it was elaborated a case study focusing on the development of tourism in the village and in its surroundings, which would correspond to the strategic development of the municipality and at the same time it gives a method for drawing up the project plan that could be used in the future.

Risk factors in the development of rating disorders.

The thesis deals with risk factors for eating disorders. The theoretical part describes the various disorders and thein symptoms and consequences. Further theoretical part analyzes of the emergence of these disorders and thein gradual historical development, which during its existence passed. Another part of the risk factors for eating disorders and possible wals of thein treatment. The practical part is focused on research of modeling as one of the risk factors for eating disorders. This section is based on information obtained through personál interview conducted with respondents from the field of modeling and acting outsider the scope. The resulting data are recorded by means of case studies, tables and graphs.
