Changes in rainfall-runoff regime and biogeochemistry in headwater areas
Fraindová, Kateřina
Headwater areas are a very important current or potential drinking water source. Their ecological value for the whole ecosystem is equally important. Headwater areas are sites with minimal anthropogenic intervention and usually the least polluted water sources. Changes in climate and rainfall-runoff (R-R) regime together with water quality in these areas affect the status and availability of water further downstream significantly. It is also one of the most sensitive areas and is an early indicator of ongoing changes. This thesis focuses on the main issues that are already ongoing and are affecting the availability of drinking water significantly. Some of these are trends in R-R regime in the context of the climate change and glacier retreat in headwater areas. As a very good example of a mid-latitude river with a complex rainfall-runoff regime, where a large impact of regional climate warming and glacier retreat are strongly manifested, The Athabasca River Basin was selected for this study. Related to this issue is the river water quality, which is influenced by changes in both temperature and R-R regime, together with the increasing occurrence of extreme hydrometeorological situations such as droughts and floods. The effects of land cover on water quality are also analysed, along with consideration of...
Microsoft Office Password Recovery Using GPU
Zobal, Lukáš ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Hranický, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes the password recovery of Microsoft Office documents by expanding an existing tool Wrathion. The thesis explains the issue of digital document protection, modern encryption and hashing algorithms and rudiments of OpenCL standard. Next, the analysis of structure of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint documents is performed, including all the versions since 1997. Using this knowledge, we create a draft and an implementation of improved DOC module for newer versions of the encryption, as well as a draft and an implementation of brand new modules for XLS and PPT formats and their newer variants DOCX, XLSX and PPTX. After that, we measure performance of the new modules and compare it with other competing password recovery tools.
Comparison of free available software for the calculation of electric network parameters
Dvořák, Radim ; Janík, Daniel (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare freely available software for calculating the parameters of electrical networks. The first part is used to give an idea how to operate in the programs Sichr, DOC, Spider (xSpider) and ~ SIMARIS design and their evaluation in terms of usability, requirements, graphical interface and controllability. Furthermore, a technical analysis of specific topologies of specified distribution networks is performed in the work. In the second part, the calculation of network parameters was performed using the SW above. Finally, the realized calculations of voltage drops and short-circuit currents using individual programs were compared with each one another.
Four Cylinder and Six Cylinder Engines for Agricultural Tractors
Potůček, Šimon ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis summarizes actual technologies and trends by tractor engines and mention product portfolio of the most important tractor engine’s manufacturers used in the Czech Republic.
Catalytic converter and particulate filter functions on diesel vehicles
V závěru pojednává o možnostech snížení uhlíkové stopy a vyhovění nadcházející emisní normě EURO VII.
System for Quality Control Management of Devices
Černý, Lukáš ; Hrivňák, Ján (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes both the theoretical and practical part of the process of design and implementation of interactive computer software for the~management of~the~quality control of the~devices, assigned by SIGMA GROUP a.s., more precisely its Energo division, which is engaged in the maintenance and repair of pumping equipment. The theoretical part explains the concept of user experience, its acquisition methods, specification of~requirements and interface design methods. The next part is focused on the description of the~formats used by common text editors. Within the theoretical part is described the design of the interactive application itself. In the practical part there is a description of the main parts of the system and the conclusions from the system testing.

Effect of soil C:N:P stoichiometry on plant-microbe-soil interactions
CÁRDENAS HERNÁNDEZ, Julián Fernando
The effect of C:N:P stoichiometry on plant-microbe-soil interactions was studied using glasshouse experiments to maintain constant environmental conditions and manipulate plant and soil characteristics. Plants with different economic strategies were studied on soils with different C:N:P stoichiometry due to C enrichment. This allowed for various plant-soil interactions, which were used to study the strongest links between plants, microbes, and soil. Subsequently, the role of C addition in the plant-exudates-microbe-soil interactions was evaluated, including the correlation of foliar isotopic C and N composition with plant biomass and soil N availability. Finally, plant- soil communication was altered by fertilizing plant leaves without changing soil conditions. In this way, we were able to determine the role of plant C:N stoichiometry in the priming effect of the rhizosphere and detritusphere.
