Presentations Making Blender add-on
3D Driving School
Kapoun, Petr ; Veigend, Petr (referee) ; Šátek, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of a 3D driving school simulator. After the analysis of existing solutions and the design of the simulator, this thesis discusses the issue of checking the rules on the road and the possibility of their implementation in the simulator. The Unity 3D game engine was chosen for this task. The models were created in Blender.
The making of 3D electronics catalogs
Spousta, Martin ; Dvořák,, Jiří (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with problems of making 3D electronics catalogues for their widely usage. It contains the description of current level of electronics catalogues, theoretical solution of the problem with description of advantages, disadvantages and warrant of new solution. It contains the practical solution as well.
Detection of Landmarks on Vehicle Images
Chadima, Vojtěch ; Bartl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis aims to introduce automatic detection of landmarks on vehicle images. Detected landmarks can be then used for automatic traffic surveillance camera calibration or other computer vision applications. I solved the landmarks detection problem by using a novel type of convolutional neural network called Stacked Hourglass. Furthemore, I created an automatic trainig dataset (image + anotations) generator based on Blender API, which allows to create various datasets. Detected landmarks are analyzed and sorted in order to determine a set of superior landmarks that could be later used for camera calibration. The best-performing models detect up to 1 021 landmarks, while the best of them have less than 3.0 pixels average error. Finally, results can be further used in automatic camera calibration based on landmarks detection, to create custom datasets or to train Stacked Hourglass convolutional neural networks.
Driving School - Rules of the Road
Hlipala, Martin ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This project is focused on the simulation of traffic rules and user interaction in a virtual scene, where it allows to examine user`s knowledge and skills in context of the traffic law and rules. The designed application is monitoring user`s activity and identifiing traffic violations caused by the user`s bad behaviour. Based on the gathered information, the user is provided with an information about the rules he/she disobeyed. This application was designed using the Unity 3D technology. 3D modeling software Blender was used for creating, texturing and assigning material properties to 3D objects used in the project.
Virtual Blacksmith
Halamová, Mária ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with creation of an application for demonstration of smithing for virtual reality platforms. The purpose of the application is to present historical smithing craft with the help of modern technologies from the first person's view. The thesis researches realistic simulation methods used in smithing techniques and an appropriate way of visualising a metal object. The application implements a 3D simulation of heating and deformation of forging materials using user-controlled forging tools in virtual reality. Partial heating of the metal is visualized by procedural material. The user experience is enhanced by added audio and haptic feedback. The final application is created in Unity framework and is developed for Oculus Rift virtual reality set.
Blender add-on for Astronomical Object Generation
Hlávka, Marek ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
Procedural modeling methods greatly facilitate the process of modeling 3D objects that mimic real-world elements, which needs to be performed more and more efficiently. This thesis deals with procedural modeling of astronomical objects and their modification. It also deals with design, implementation and publication of an add-on for the open-source program Blender, that enables modeling of these objects. The add-on is implemented in Python using the Blender API. As a result, Blender is extended with an interface for fast and convenient generation of astronomical objects. The published add-on is available open-source.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Burkot, Martin ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of minimal graphics intro. Intro size is not extending 64kB. The base of the intro is procedurally generated terrain supplemented with procedural vegetation and texture representing clouds. It also has terrain texture and imported 3D models. As background music is music playing.
Eye Tracking Based Gaming Combat System
Kučera, Ján ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is to create a 3D fighting game in which, a player is able to aim via their eye gaze. Eyes are tracked using special glasses Pupil Core, that track players eye gaze using infrared camera. The game itself is implemented in a game engine Unity and communication between game and glasses is implemented via local server. The result is a 3D fighting game with an aiming mechanic using eye gaze.
Creation and Demonstration of Assets for VR Application
Zouhar, Marek ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the concept of virtual reality, its history, present-day possibilities and available devices and technologies for virtual reality and ways of creating assets such as models, textures and animations for virtual reality applications. The practical part of this work deals with design and creation of three-dimensional models, textures, animations and environment for use in interactive application in virtual reality and also with design and creation of such application to demonstrate their use.
