Virtual reality as a mean of diagnosis of the game sense in ice hockey

Title: Virtual reality as a mean of diagnosis of the game intelligence in ice hockey. Goal: The goal of this work is to find out whether it is possible to evaluate virtual reality through the "game intelligence". Further on, to evaluate if different proband levels do affect the level of the "game intelligence". Methodology: File for research: Our goal is to test five different groups of various performance levels and evaluate the extent of change in game intelligence among respected groups. In each of the group we are evaluating 34 to 74 probands. In total, 252 people were tested. Statistic methods: Basic descriptive statistics, MANOVA analysis, correlation analysis, canonical correlation Conclusion: Our research could be of great benefit to the sports community. We believe that the results of our research will appeal to clubs that have doubts about the positive contribution of virtual reality to ice hockey. Analysis of the load of the reffres in the extraleague and II. league

Title: Analysis of the load of ice hockey referees in the extraliga and the II. liga Objectives: The main goal of my diploma thesis is to analyze the load of referees in Tipsport Extraliga ledního hokeje and II. liga ledního hokeje. Methods: For my research I chose the method of monitoring the heart rate of referees using POLAR cardiotachometers, as another method I used monitoring the intensity of the refferee' load and last was the invasive method of measuring lactate using SCOUT Sirius lactate meter and then Lactate Scout Start Set SensLab. The investigation was carried out on a total of 12 judges II. liga (4 main referees and 8 line referees) and on 19 Tipsport Extraliga ledního hokeje referees (10 main referees and 9 line referees). In total, 31 referees aged 30.1 ± 6.2 years. Heart rate was measured in all referees. The intensity of the load was measured for 19 referees, specifically 8 referees from II. liga ledního hokeje (4 main referees and 4 line referees) and 11 referees from the Tipsport Extraliga ledního hokeje (7 main and 4 line). Title: Impact of unilateral load and its compensation of muscle imbalances in ice hockey in U14 and U15 of ice hockey players. Objective: To propose compensation programme for young hockey players based on the accessible knowledge of unilateral load in hockey and of compensatory exercises. Tasks: One of the tasks of this bachelor thesis is to summarize and compare the knowledge that can be gained from domestic and foreign literature which deals with compensatory exercise while taking into consideration modern trends. Based on this research, another task is to create and draw up the unified compensation programme which includes exercises that can prevent or diminish muscle imbalances. Another task was to summarize general knowledge of muscle imbalances and compensation exercises. Methods: Theoretical part of this theses uses descriptive-analytic method. The possibilities of virtual reality as a training tool in sports games - on the example of a chosen sports game

Title: The possibilities of virtual reality as a training tool in sports games - on the example of a chosen sports game Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find relations between variables consisting of selected hockey-specific skills and cognitive functions. Methods: Result evaluation was done via descriptive statistics (average result of research group, standard deviation) and correlational analysis (Pearson (common), canonical). Results: Research group was made of 197 probands (ice hockey players), whose ages were between thirteen and fifteen years. All probands performed eight tests in virtual reality, whereas first four of them focused on cognitive functions and the remaining four on hockey-specific skills. In case of hockey-specific skills, players accomplished following outcomes: release time (percentile) x=92,54+3,24 spatial orientation (percentile) x=70,07+14,29 looking for open lanes (percentile) x=59,64 +9,73 verbal communication (percentile) x=54,03+23,50 correct decision (percentile) x=58,87+14,98. Title: Aspect of ice-hockey kids recruitment Goals: Main goal of this thesis was to find out, how enrolment days affect the decision of parents, whether their kid starts going on ice hockey trainings regularly. Furthermore, if coaches consider these reasons significant. Method: Data were acquired with quantitatively by questionnaire. Questionnaires were created in two versions - for coaches and for parents and then they were distributed in electronic form. They contained four parts, which aims to obtain necessary data for answering exploratory questions. Results: Identifying of base aspects, which have impact on parents and children and could affect the successibility of the enrolment days. Title: Migration of Czech junior hockey players Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to understand the relationship between migration of Czech junior hockey players and the level of their success in the NHL. To help accomplish this goal, desirable secondary data needed to be collected. One of the secondary goals of this thesis was to analyze topics and studies related to this thesis. Methods: This thesis uses quantitative research. One of crucial methods used is document analysis; analysis of related case studies and data in particular. Comparative research was also used to compare data collected in this thesis and data collected in related case studies. Correlation analysis was used to understand the relationship between migration and success in the NHL. Results: The results of this thesis follow up on related case studies in certain aspects, mainly the data gathered in said studies. Comparison of data collected in mentioned studies and this thesis proves the generally known decline of total number of Czech players drafted to and playing in the NHL. The number of Czech players in the NHL has more than halved in the last 20 years. The analyses of shooting effectivity from rink area of in EUHL team of Charles University

Title: The analysis of shooting effectivity from rink area in EUHL by team of Charles University Objectives: The aim of submitted thesis is to determine the effectiveness of shooting in hockey team UK Prague in terms of the place of shooting, From which part of the offensive zone and which type of shots the biggest amount of goals was scored and vice versa, where the shooting did not succeed and shooting was not very effective. This thesis should indicate the possibilities of improving the scoring effectivity for the coming seasons. Methods: The diploma thesis uses the method of statistical data analysis. Statistical data were obtained in the form of indirect observation of video recordings of the hockey games. Results: From statistical data was found that in the 2018/2019 season were the most effective zone in terms of the place of scoring zones number 1 and 2, or the so-called slot. At the same time, it was found that the most effective way to score a goal was a rebound, and in the presence of a screening attacking player in front of the opponent's goalkeeper, were scored 38,16% of all goals. The relationship between strength ratios of hip abductors, adductors, internal, external rotators and speed of shouting in ice hockey players

Title: Relation between power ratios of adductors, abductors, external and internal hip rotators at shooting speed of ice hockey players Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to find out the relationship between the rate of fire on the ice and the strength abilities of the hand and hip rotators Methods: The research group consisted of 20 adult probands (age = 24.8 ± 3.4; height = 181 cm ± 6.13 cm; weight = 80.1 kg ± 9.9 kg). The research took place in the summer preparation period after the season. The laboratory tests were carried out at the Charles University FTVS under the supervision of qualified and trained experts. An isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex NORM ®, Humac, CA, USA) was used to test external and internal rotators. A hand isometric dynamometer (Takei 5401) was used to evaluate the handgrip. Field tests were conducted on the ice, where the rate of fire was recorded using radar (V-max). Results: The results showed a significant degree of association between SBN and SVN shooting and rotator force at concentric contraction (30ř∙s-1 , 90ř∙s-1 ) for the dominant leg, reaching values (r = 0.45) for the angular velocity of 30ř∙s-1 and at higher angular velocities it assumed values (r = 0.44 and 0.54).
