Social Support Gained from Social Networking Sites and its Selected Aspects

This thesis examines the role of social networking sites (SNS) in searching social support via sharing posts within one-to-many communication. The theoretical part presents the current body of literature on topics related to SNS usage and social support, and looks at current issues in the field of SNS research. The empirical part focuses on SNS active users aged 18 - 34 years. In focus groups we examine how and when people use SNS relating social support and building social capital. The results are followed by a questionnaire, which examines users' motivation to use one-to-many communication channel and perception of obtained reactions. It also examines which types social support users seek through one-to-many communication and how they perceive the reactions they have received. The master thesis examines the role of social networking sites (SNS) in searching social support via sharing posts within one-to-many communication. The theoretical part is devoted to the user motivation to use SNS, personal characteristics of users, the impact of SNS usage on relationships, social support in the SNS environment and the use of one-to-many communication functions. The empirical part focuses on SNS active users aged 18 - 34 years. In focus groups it examines how and when people use SNS relating social support and building social capital. The results are followed by a questionnaire, which examines what types of social support users are asking for and how they perceive reactions they received. Criminal aggression and aggressiveness in children and juveniles

This bachelor thesis concentrates on child and adolescent criminal aggression and aggresiveness, especially on risk and protective factors of violent offending. Furtheremore, it presents studies that examine personality of juvenile violent offenders. Latter chapters present typical patterns of children and adolescents violent offending. The last chapter summarizes actual Czech and foreign findings about robberies and their juvenile and adult offenders. Based on the presented robbery findings, the purpose of the proposed research is to broaden and update our knowledge of adolescent robbery offenders via combined qualitative and quantitative research design.
