Death topic in kindergarten through the adults perspective
VÁŇOVÁ, Veronika
The bachelor's thesis is aimed to opening and sharing the topic of death with respect to kindergartens. Theoretical part describes the perception to death of children of preschool age and how they experienced death of the close one. Provides examples when and how mention this topic at kindergartens. Also considers the general public attitude to further work in kindergartens. The aim of practical part is to clarify if the topic of death is discussed in kindergartens, if not, what is the reason. Also, whether the opinions of the general public coincide with kindergarten's teachers. In order to achieve these opinions, a research based on a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews was chosen. The qualitative research is aimed to attitude and work of kindergarten's teachers to open the topic of death in kindergartens. The quantitative research follows adult's attitude to the possibilities and manners how to open the topic of death with preschool children. The most of respondents understands talking about death as important topic with preschool children and intends to include the topic of death to kindergarten's schedule. Especially by telling the teacher continuously during the activities of the year or on the Feast of the Dead. Kindergartens teachers are concerned about parent's reactions.
Bloggers as professional journalists
Váňová, Veronika ; Láb, Filip (advisor) ; Jirků, Jan (referee)
The thesis focuses on the status of the blogosphere in traditional journalism. It defines blogs, describes their history, typology and audience, which has changed from passive recipients of media content to its active creators. The thesis depicts convergence as a process in which amateur journalists affect the institution of traditional journalism by publishing online. This gave rise to a new phenomenon, called participative journalism, which is a potential source of discrepancy between traditional and new media. The thesis voices mutual criticism and arguments from both professional journalists and bloggers. This need not prevail if these two media systems learn to live in symbiosis. The thesis further mentions the legal protection of bloggers in the Czech Republic and the democratizing potential of the blogosphere. The conducted qualitative research is based on twelve structured in-depth respondent interviews (both bloggers and editors) and focuses on the cooperation between lifestyle magazines (and newspapers) and bloggers. It examines motivations to take up the cooperation, its progress and its advantages and disadvantages. The research demonstrates that a symbiotic relationship is possible. It also discusses some notions introduced in the theoretical part of the thesis.
Gén DMRT3, jeho mutácie a variabilita pri rôznych plemenách koní
Vaňová, Veronika
The aim of work was to describe the "gait keeper" mutation in different horse breeds. Mutation is located on the DMRT3 gene, which is a transcription factor expressed in the dI6 subdivision of the spinal cord neurons and takes an essential part in the limbs movement coordination. Moreover, it has a major effect in the presentation of gaits. On the DMRT3, there is a nonsense mutation at nucleotide 22999655 position, where there is a single nucleotide polymorphism C>A. This mutation is caused by a premature stop codon at DMRT3_Ser301STOP, which gives rise to the truncated transcription factor. Phenotypic expression is showed in a lot of different types of alternative gaits in a huge number of horse breeds. There are three genotypes, connected to this mutation: homozygous A/A, heterozygous C/A and wild-type C/C. The horse breeds were classified according to frequency of A allele (%) as: gaited (<50%), some gaited (<50%), not gaited - wild type and horses bred for harness racing.
Štúdium možností elektrochemickej detekcie špecifických sekvencií nukleových kyselín
Vaňová, Veronika
This work deals with the study of the possibility of creating an electrochemical biosensor for the detection of specific nucleic acid sequences. The theoretical part describes various types of RNA, with a special focus on miRNAs and possibilities of its detection. It also describes various electrochemical detection approaches, both nucleic acids, and more specifically miRNAs. miRNA is a potential biomarker that can be used for early and non-invasive diagnosis of cancer. The experimental part is aimed at designing, optimizing and preparing a sensitive biosensor for the detection of miRNA-21. A biosensor was prepared to detect the lowest concentration of miRNA-21 in the sample. A linear concentration range for the calibration curve from 1 nM to 1 µM concentration was measured. We measured LOD of 1 fM and by calculation from the regression equation to 3.2 zM and LOQ was 10.8 zM. Subsequently, samples were measured in artificial urine to verify the functioning of the sensor in real conditions. The results showed a minimal effect of the matrix on the determination of the target miRNA.

OF BACHELOR THESIS Name and surname of the author: Veronika Váňová Title of the thesis: Physiotherapy in the intensive care for the pacients with pneumonia Working place: Clinic of rehabilitative medicine Bachelor thesis supervizor: Mgr. Lucie Kožešníková Number of pages: 68 Year of bachelor thesis defence: 2015 Abstract: Subject matter of this bachelor thesis are patiens diagnosed with pneumonia and hospitalized due to other complications at intensive care unit. I've taken a closer look at physiotherapy and its impact on patients' medical condition. There are also presented case history files of two patients in the practical part, one being rather stable, getting a good result in physical therapy, second one on the other hand having a lot of comorbidities, suffering various complications during the treatment and needing repeatedly an artifical ventilation. I've come to conclusion that physiotherapy can fulfil its potential only by patients with active attitude and rather uncomplicated course of treatment. Failing that, there is a minimal effect of physiotherapy on patients getting better. The aim of my bachelor thesis was to delineate the background of intensive care unit, summarize up the facts about pneumonia and its treatment, present the most common physical therapy methods and last but not...
The concepts of the right art and their development in the time of coming abstraction in the USA
Váňová, Veronika ; Veselská, Jindra (advisor) ; Paulíček, Miroslav (referee)
The question of the existence of the right art has been solved by many theorists and artists themselves. The first half of the twentieth century was affected by the coming world wars, Nazism and socialism. The establishment of avant-garde was associated with it and new movements tried to confront such society. Along with avant-garde artistic critics appeared, those who more or less influenced artists themselves. Theories of Friedrich Nietzsche, Theodor Adorno, Jean Francois Lyotard, Clement Greenberg and Leo Steinberg are different, but are also consistent with the fundamental thing. That is the desire for a change and accuracy of art. The first two authors think that the right art was already there, but it was destroyed. Others are looking into present and future. In the shadow of modern technologies they try to find something that will be unique and original. These thoughts come to the imagination of unrepresent-able things and abstraction. Abstract Expressionism is a movement, which was originally established in the thirties in the USA. Along with it, the art center moved from Paris to New York. Abstract Expressionists were divided into two groups. One of them, artists such as Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, has been called action painters. The second group, in which Barnett Newman and...

The development of art and its attitude to society in work of Friedrich Nietzsche and Theodor Adorno
Váňová, Veronika ; Holeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Paulíček, Miroslav (referee)
1 Abstract Friedrich Nietzsche's work is interwoven with his idea that all art is formed by two deities, the two elements, Apollonian and Dionysian. Apollonian element, the world of individuation is a beautiful picture and a dream world, Dionysian element, the world unity, is the thunderous roaring tone music. Top art was in the form of Greek tragedy, it was perfect harmony of both elements. The art was at that time, the most perfect from all its parts of development. However, there have been thoughts, uncomprehending beauty of both forces and wanted to destroy them. All aspects of life events have been understood historically, critically, objectively, everything has been secular. Newly created form of the art, which can not be regarded as true art, because it lacks the elements of art, was called attic comedy. Contemporary culture is based on ideas that belong among others to Socrates and so it is called Socratic. Culture has the opportunity to recover and help the rebirth of true art, just listen Dionysus singing, which is already awake and must be just detected and informed. Theodor Adorno speaks about the mass society, which, through monopoly controls all that happens in it. The society is doing exactly what monopoly wants. Society is material, without imagination, the ability to experience, ability to...
Discrimination in the labour market by reason of age
Váňová, Veronika ; Macáková, Libuše (advisor) ; Nečadová, Marta (referee)
How already results from the title, the bachelor thesis deals with discrimination in the labour market by reason of age. The theoretic part is based upon the economics theories of discrimination and the types of discrimination in the labour market. A proof of ageism is much complicated than, for example, sex-based discrimination, though increases the number of people, who encouter it. Therefore the aim of practical part was by the help of indirect evidence findings firms attitudes towards differents groups of population and then by the help of my own realized inquiry evaluation of people experience with discrimination in the Czech labour market. Czech population grows old and a protection olders age groups in labour market is insufficient. Thereat in the future is necessary a change of attitude towards employment older age groups to ensure sufficiency of qualified labour force.
