Klisková, Zuzana ; Táborská, Silvie (referee) ; Sládková, Petra (advisor)
We can expect increased amount of stroke with lengthening of life and growth number of people in higher aged categories. These incidents mean not only health but also social and economical problem. Neurological patiens go to refreshment residence to the Krušné mountains. The biggest group is made up of patients after stroke, there are mainly young people after car accidents and other head injuries and I would like to mention people who were operated with a brain tumor. Health condition of these people is not without a deficit, no matter what it is - motorics or sensitivity failure, speech failure or some psychical problems. It is necessary to provide them with a complex health care of multidisciplinary team from the beginning. We can reach visible progress if we combine the patient's active approach to his habilitation.

The other part is focused on acquired assessment and data processing. As the main method of the research work was chosen a questionnaire, one of them was allocated for nurses and the other for physiotherapists. The survey was carried out in two Prague hospitals. One of the aims were results comparison of these hospitals as well. In all, 104 respondents, from that 72 staff nurses and 32 physiotherapist were involved in the investigation. Concerning the results of the work, we can claim that staff nurses from intensive wards do not have enough theoretical knowledge in the rehabilitation treatment field. Further, it has been proved there is not any difference between knowledge of nurses from the accredited hospital and the hospital without accreditation. The other...

Táborská, Silvie ; Mahrová, Andrea (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title Physical activity during hemodialysis and its impact on physical performance at patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Objective: To verify efficiency of exercise training during hemodialysis with emphasis on improvement or preservation ofphysical performance in patients with ESRD. Methods: 13 patients with ESRD on hemodialysis participated in exercise training programme during hemodialysis. Senior Fitness Test (SFT), dynamometry of hands and multifrequency bioimpedance analysis were used to evaluate physical performance before and after 12 weeks of exercise training programme during hemodialysis. 1Onon-exercising patients with ESRD served as a comparsion group. Results: Physical performance in patients participating in exercise programme increased significantly (p<0,05) for SFT (by 16% for chair stand test (p<O,Ol), by 53% for 2-minute step test (p<0,002), by ll % for up-go (p<0,04)) and by 6 % for dynamometry test (p<0,04). No changes in body composition were noted in both groups after 12 weeks. Conclusions: Twelwe weeks of exercise training programme during hemodialysis can improve physical performance at patients with ESRD. Key words: end-stage renal disease; hemodialysis; physical activity; physical performance
