The future of human exoplanet settlement
Slezák, Jan ; Dušek,, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis "The future of human exoplanet settlement from the present point of view" is focused on the analysis of the development of the urban compo-sition of the city for the purpose of finding the most suitable concept of the set-tlement. Its foundation is hypothetically put on some of the planets outside the solar system, where could be comparable conditions as on Earth. Installation in these extreme conditions is chosen deliberately so that the essential aspects of the urban layout come to the fore. In this way it is possible at the same time to verify the presumption of stability of the basic assumptions of a functional city and ap-ply the final conclusions in the current conditions as well.
Entry module of processing line for ozonic deterioration of tyres
Slezák, Jan ; Veselý, Oldřich (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is making design of device for setting tyres into the machine for ozone deterioration of tyres with following parametres: tyre size 295/80 R22,5, deployment profile of tyres, its foundation into the machine and sealing ozone atmosphere. The first part of this thesis contain research retailing to issues of tyre. After that there si presented design, which is completely making in programme Autodesk Inventor 2010. Calcutations are making in programme Mathcad 14 and deformation load, mainly construction, is making in programme Ansys 12.1. Finally there is making drawings.
Active database of standart at Institute of design created
Slezák, Jan ; Zimmerman, Martin (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to create compact database of valid standards, which are on hand the Institute of design created with the possibility continuous refilling by database system. A short charakteristics of standard and basic identification data belong to the survey. There is charakteristic of standard, kinds of standards and history of standards in the first part. Creation of standards, their numbering and obligation are introduced in the second part. Databases are introduce in the third part.
Preparation of mammalian vectors encoding selected microsomal SDR enzymes
Slezák, Jan ; Hofman, Jakub (advisor) ; Novotná, Eva (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradci Kralove Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Jan Slezák Superviser: RNDr. Jakub Hofman, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Preparation of mammalian vectors encoding selected microsomal SDR enzymes Microsomal short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases DHRS1, DHRS7 and HSD11b1 (SDR19C1, SDR34C1, SDR26C1) are membrane-bound NAD(P)H-dependent enzymes metabolizing a broad spectrum of carbonyl-bearing substrates. These enzymes from the superfamily of short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases mediate metabolism of endogenous compounds, such as glucocorticoids, retinoids, sfingolipids as well as various xenobiotics. Apart from their biological roles, they participate in the etiology of severe diseases (e.g cancer, Alzheimer disease, obesity etc.). Knowledge of inhibitory and substrate affinity may lead to better understanding of the functions of these enzymes in organism and to the development of new therapeutic approaches. The goal of the present work was to prepare mammalian vectors encoding DHRS1, DHRS7 and HSD11b1. Primer design and cDNA amplification were among the first steps. Primers beared the sequence recognized by restriction endonucleases which was concomitantly present in the multicloning site of the pCI plasmid. Such primer design allowed...
The influence of weather on road accidents in Czech Republic
Slezák, Jan ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Sulan, Jan (referee)
6 Abstract Diploma thesis deals with influence of weather on traffic accidents on the roads in the Czech Republic in 2007-2009. After an introduction the reader is familiar with the origin of the acquired data and their processing methodology. An integral part of the search is a clear development of accidents on roads in the Czech Republic from 1993 to present. The following chapter is devoted to the topic of weather influence on road safety, prepared mainly from scientific foreign studies. It acquaints readers with the meteorological factors, the level of the weather influence and measures that increase road safety. The main part deals with the influence of weather on road accidents in Czech Republic. Part of the chapter deals with the expression of the number ratio of accidents to traffic volume in the monthly and daily operation. The second part is an in-depth analysis focused on days 4 and more deadly traffic accidents that have become a key concern for the following subsections. Subsections deal with evaluating the status of the road surface and weather conditions, according to Police Czech Republic data and the relationship between meteorological elements (data source CHMI) and frequency of traffic accidents. The last part is the introduction of a new term "Accident Day" and a detailed analysis of its...
