The theory and practice of body culture in the context of andragogy

The thesis deals with the relationship of adult's education and physical culture. It focuses on the growing role of education, especially adults, in contemporary society and formulates the idea of historical transformation of formerly time-and age-limited education in contemporary lifelong learning. In relation to that, the thesis describes the culture, especially the physical, and its link to the lifelong learning. This fact is considered from a historical and a theoretical perspective. Based on that, the thesis examines the relationship of adult's education and physical culture in the general theoretical and currently practical point of view. The importance of this investigation evaluates for potential adult's education knowledge application in physical culture and possible social function enhancing.
Foucault and Lifelong Learning as a Political Concept

The bachelor thesis deals with the intellectual legacy of Michel Foucault and his possible aplication in relation to the concept of lifelong learning. Thesis argues that lifelong learning is used as a political concept in the contemporary educational discourse in European Union, which is shown from the critical Foucauldian perspective. In its theoretical part bachelor thesis has the form of compilation of possible interpretations regarding Foucault's thesis in relation to the field of lifelong learning. Thesis focuses in particular on the Foucault's notion of governmentality that offers comprehensive view of the way by which neoliberalism penetrated into different forms of governance including the field of education. In the second part thesis focuses on the analysis of seleceted strategic documents of European Union with the use of Foucault's critical approach to the neoliberal governmentality. Thesis reveals in which way these documents percieve the concept of lifelong learning and its role in the future development of European Union. The bachelor thesis contributes to the discussion about a potential use of Foucault's work in relation to the analysis of political concept of lifelong learning.
Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education

The aim of this bachelor thesis "Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education" is to analyze what motivates adults to participate in continuing education and what are main obstacles in adult education. The paper consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with an overview of basic knowledge about the issue with the use of literature, both domestic and foreign authors. The second, practical part contains a description of own empirical survey. The aim of the survey is to identify the main reasons for adults to participate in continuing education and detect the most common barriers, obstacles to such participation. The survey is trying to confirm the conclusions from the theoretical part by the analysis of the select company. Prevention of burnout

The thesis deals with burnout syndrome as a phenomenon of our time which threatens individuals and organizations. In the theoretical part burnout is defined and its possible causes with individual and external factors are mentioned. Further the process of burnout is described and the psychosocial and physical symptoms, which indicate the syndrome, are given. Also potential consequences of burnout are discussed. Next chapter deals with factors that may act in the prevention of burnout in working life. There are both internal factors as resistance, motivation and self-management and external factors of occuupational environment mentioned. Last theoretical chapter puts knowledge of burnout in the context of leadership and human resources management. It points to the possibilities of prevention of burnout in organization, attention is paid to knowledge management, talent management and diversity management. Further the personnel activities and their impact on prevention of burnout are referred. In the end importance of personal development, education, work-life balance and spirituality in prevention of burnout are mentioned. Influence of non-financial motivation on external trainer's stability

This bachelor thesis deals with sources and instruments of non-financial motivation on stability of concrete group of external trainer's. Firstly, term of non-financial motivation is defined, than sources of motivation are described in context of organizational behavior, needs are emphasised as a key source of motivation to work. In thesis are specified and described instruments of non-financial motivation, which serves to stimulation on workers. Influence of extrinsic and intrinsic motive is described as well. Effect of non-financial motivation in organization is confirmed thanks to theory of social and market norms. In the second part qualitative probe is described, which deals with influence of forenamed factors on stability of concrete group of external trainer's. Job interview

The first part, theory, begins with job analysis. Then searching for applicants and selection of the employees follows. The key topic of the study is focused on the most frequent method of the employee selection - job interview. The advantages of this method are the possibility to assess the applicant's personality more thoroughly and also to check and supplement the information gained by other selection methods. On the other hand some of the disadvantages are the tendency to subjective assessment and the fact that the interview is comparatively time-consuming. In any case the job interview should be also done according to the ethic principles. There are a lot of types of the interview. Interviews differ for example by structure, by the number of applicants or by the formulation and purpose of the questions used during the interview. Each interview consists of the three following parts: preparation, course and evaluation. The practice reveals that the selection process is influenced not only by the setting of the personnel processes but also by the personal approach and expertise of the evaluators. The training for people deployed to missions abroad

(in English): The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the professional training of humanitarian and development workers, working on the missions abroad in the Global South countries. The main focus is on the intercultural training. This thesis describes the specifics of humanitarian and development missions, cultural adaptation and follows up the impact of culture on humanitarian and development work and the possibilities of a professional training. The main goal of this work is to characterize a professional training for workers preparing to work abroad. Part of this goal was to compare several Czech and international organizations. A survey was made to reach this goal. In the conclusion is a summary of the information that was found and the recommendations.
Socio-psychological aspects of employees downsizing

This diploma thesis discusses the process of employee termination in corporate organizations, with special focus on the socio-psychological aspects of such actions from the point of view of all relevant parties (stakeholders). Firstly, it highlights the positive role of work in the life of a human being, and how its absence negatively demonstrates itself after the loss of employment. Secondly, the thesis evaluates specific methods of employee termination, their implementation, and identifies the role of HR specialists during the termination process with special attention to the ethical aspects. Thirdly, the consequences of layoffs are analyzed on several levels: with regard to the individuals affected by termination process, organizations that are laying off and the government. Subsequently, to identify recommendations, which would mitigate the negative consequences of such actions, the thesis explores potential solutions in the government employment policies and outplacement programs within the corporations. As part of corporate social responsibility it links the problem of termination with the reputation of the organization as a valuable and attractive employer on the market. Importance of education in the life stories of shoah survivors

The following thesis seeks to identify the importance of education for the witnesses of the Shoah. It outlines the form of education in Czechoslovakia in the years 1918-1948 and focuses on the education of the Jewish minority. The research includes the analysis of narrative interviews with Jewish survivors who lived through the Second World War. Through the study of literature and analysis of qualitative data shows the role played by education in the pre-war, wartime and post-war. Bachelor thesis deals with job satisfaction. It is often given to a context with the attitude to work which is very much connected to job satisfaction. Thesis summarises all the pieces of information about job satisfacion, factors that affect it negatively and positively, interconnection of work satisfaction and work motivation, work behaviour and performance of workers, relationship of a man and work and at last general job satisfaction and its individual aspects. In the thesis I shortly pay attention to life satisfaction. It is closely linked with job satisfaction and these two influence each other. The main part is dedicated to job satisfaction. It is mainly history of the concept of job satisfaction, interconnection of job satisfaction and attitude to work, multidimensional concept of job satisfaction, methods of probe job satisfaction, analysis of factors affecting job satisfaction. The intention of thesis is to specify the factors that have a profound impact on job satisfaction and which influence it positively and negatively. Job satisfaction is closely linked to motivation.
