Complaints of BONA, o.p.s. service users as a implement of feedback

Velký důraz, který je po roce 1989 kladen na dodržováni lidských práv, se velmi výrazně odrazil i v oblasti sociálních služeb. Posilování práv občanů, uživatelů sociálních služeb, pak v průběhu 90. let 20. století nalézalo svoje vyjádření v dokumentech, jejichž cílem bylo velmi individualizovaným způsobem podpořit sociální začleňování občanů a jejich uplatnění ve společnosti. Jedním z cílů sociálních služeb se stalo umožnění důstojného života občanům tak, aby mohli prosazovat svá práva a oprávněné zájmy. Od ledna 2007 jsou principy, které odrážejí dobrou praxi v dodržování lidských práv a svobod v sociálních službách součástí zákona č. 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách a vyhlášky č. 505/2006 Sb. (příloha č. 2), a to v podobě tzv. Standardů kvality sociálních služeb. Právě v souvislosti s uvedenými změnami a požadavky na kvalitu prochází sociální služby transformací. Podobně, jako v jiných sociálních službách, bylo i v sociálních službách poskytovaných nevládní neziskovou organizací BONA, o.p.s. nutno zásadně přehodnotit praxi poskytovaných služeb. V souladu se Standardy kvality sociálních služeb musí být změny v metodice poskytování služeb podpořeny změnou postojů pracovníků i uživatelů sociálních služeb k tomu, jak mají sociální služby vypadat a k jakému cíli by měly směřovat. Support of Personal Identity Development as One of the Pillars of Recovery from Mental Illness: Possibilities of Narrative Practice

(in English): This bachelor thesis topic is personal identity development in recovery process from mental illness focusing on the possibilities of narrative practice. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with narrative approach from the point of view of its origins and practice, the postmodern concept of identity and, last but not least, the concept of recovery from mental illness and the stimulus to the relation between identity and mental illness. The practical part consists of two main subchapters, the first of which is based on interviews with people recovering from mental illness. The goal is to provide an insight into the perception of relation between mental illness, recovery and personal identity. This pilot study has identified as essential issues for the relation between personal identity and mental illness: the importance of personal recovery; working on themselves as an active attitude to change; the importance of disease reconception; the importance of roles and relationships. The second subchapter presents a practical demonstration of using one of the techniques of narrative approach - a map of preferred identity - and reflection on its potential benefits and possible pitfalls. Resume Contribution to social services for mentally disabled people Author: Chalupová Eliška Supervisor of the thesis: Mgr. Anna Sabatová Ph.D. My thesis deals with a new phenomenon in Czech law - financial contribution to social services - and its consequences to mentally disabled people, particularly to mentally disabled people living in sheltered housing. Since January 1st 2007 providers of social services charges statutory fees for a separate service. Fees are to be covered from financial contribution to social services, which is under Act No. 108/2006 Coll., imbursed to all persons meet legal conditions. In my work I focused on people who leave mental hospitals and after a long-term hospitalization lose their ability to cope with all necessities associated with a life in common society. Do these people need the financial contribution to social services? What are the main problems these people met in the course of application for the contribution and where do the problems originate? The basis for answering thesis questions was a research among clients of a sheltered housing and theirs social workers. Semi-structured interview and case study were used as a research method. Self-help activities of siblines and childern of people with mental illness

Práce se zabývá problematikou svépomocných aktivit sourozenců a děti lidi s duševnim onemocněním. Jejim cílem je zmapovat tyto aktivity v zahraničí i v ČR, ukázat v jakém kontextu vznikají a fungují a navrhnout jejich další rozvoj a možnosti v ČR. Snažím se v ní upozornit na specifické problémy, se kterými se sourozenci a děti lidí s duševním onemocnění setkávají a odůvodnit tak existenci specifických svépomocných aktivit právě pro tyto dvě cílové skupiny. V první části práce (kapitola 1) nastiňuji vliv, který má rodina na průběh duševního onemocnění svého člena a jak je tedy důležité se rodinou zabývat a pomáhat jí. Dále se věnuji specifickému postavení sourozence a dítěte člověka s duševním onemocněním a poukazuji na to, jaký dopad má duševní onemocnění vliv přímo na tyto dvě cílové skupiny. Shrnuji také, jaké pro ně v současnosti existují profesionální služby v ČR a porovnám je se situací v zahraničí. V druhé části práce (kapitola 2) se zabývám svépomocnými aktivitami nejprve rodin lidí s duševním onemocněním obecně (jejich charakteristickými rysy, historickým vývojem v zahraničí i v ČR) , dále pak svépomocnými aktivitami přímo sourozenců a dětí. Srovnávám situaci v ČR a v zahraničí v této oblasti a na příkladech svépomocných aktivit fungujících v zahraničích navrhuji jejich možný rozvoj v českém prostředí.

Community care principles in the practice of a community mental health team

Práce se zabývá problematikou komunitní péče o duševní zdraví a jejími principy na teoretické i praktické úrovni. V konkrétním pohledu je práce zaměřena na praxi regionálních komunitních týmů - týmů, které jsou v zahraničí nedílnou součástí moderních služeb péče o duševní zdraví. Jejich hlavním cílem bývá integrace člověka s vážným duševním onemocněním do komunity a zvýšení kvality jeho života. V České republice se týmy pracující na regionálním základě teprve rozvíjí. Jednou z organizací, která v současné době prochází procesem transformace služeb a zavádí systém komunitních týmů do praxe, je také o. s. Fokus Praha. Protože v této organizaci pracuji v jednom z několika nově vzniklých komunitních týmů jako sociální pracovnice, chci tyto užitečné zkušenosti z praxe zužitkovat a zaměřit proto, především empirickou část, tímto směrem. V práci budou dále představeny nabyté zkušenosti z týdenní stáže v oblasti komunitní péče o duševní zdraví ve Velké Británii (region Severozápadního Sussexu), za jejíž realizaci ještě jednou všem, kteří mi ji umožnili, děkuji. Social relations of clients in BONA, o.p.s. sheltered facilities

Hlavním cílem této práce je zmapovat sociální vztahy klientů skupinového chráněného bydlení BONA o.p.s. (dále jen Bona). Klienti Bona jsou lidé trpící dlouhodobým závažným duševním onemocněním - v celé této práci pro zjednodušení používám převážně termín lidé trpící duševním onemocněním, popřípadě termín lidé s duševním onemocněním. Tuto skupinu a problematiku spojenou se závažným duševním onemocněním vyčerpávajícím způsobem popisuje van Weeghel v předmluvě sborníku Commmunity care and psychiatrie rehabilitation for persons with serious mental illness (2002), jako skupinu, pro níž jsou typické duševní problémy, které jsou "chronické", nebo hrozí, že chronické budou. Trpí některou z forem duševního onemocnění (nejčastěji schizofrenií, ale mohou sem být zahrnuty i závažné poruchy nálady nebo poruchy osobnosti), která určitým způsobem omezuje jejich fungování v jejich běžném sociálním prostředí. Přestože projevy onemocnění jsou v užším, klinickém smyslu obvykle epizodické, funkční postižení mívá stálejší charakter. Mnozí z těchto lidí se, podle okolností, potýkají s dalšími omezeními: nízký příjem, nedostatek sociální opory a dlouhodobá hospitalizace. The motivations of the people with mental disease for change. The utilization of the advisory and therapeutical attitude in the social services

Bachelor thesis thematizes the strengths and assets of people with severe mental disorders, their abilities and skills in the process of recovery from their disease. It accentuates the importance of the intervention of the social worker and his or her professional helping relationship as support for the client coping with obstacles on his life journey. The work also notices the lay support of the client's social surroundings and contactswith people with similar experiences, which are an integral part of his or her recovery. The client's motivation and offer of a therapeutic alliance, as well as the development of his or her personal identity, increasing the quality of the client's life and his or her social status in society are the result of adopted coping mechanisms of change. Another factor with positive influences on finding of a new meaning in the client's life is social and material support in the areas of housing, education and employment. The story of recovery consists of processing the client's experiences of the preceding illness and, after a person is able to cope with the consequences of the disease, of incorporating a new purpose of life into his or her idea of the future. Multidisciplinary teams in the field of mental illness care

Submitted thesis occupies with the process of formation of multidisciplinary team, which becomes an instrument of care to services dealing with mental illness treatment in the case of transformation of psychiatric care from institutional to sphere of community services. In psychiatrical community-based services as we know them today, multidisciplinatory cooperation should provide more complex and effective help for people with mental illness. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of informative overview, stating the basic terms from fields of mental disorders and community psychiatry and discription of contemporaneous state care about mentally ill and it also brings new information about prepared reforms in area of providing psychiatric services. The empiric part maps the process of putting the multidisciplinary team together in newly established Centre of mental health, which is the new low-threshold pillar of transformation of psychiatric services. In addition, it shows views of all the professionals from the team on the problematics of creating a team, mutual cooperation, bringing a peer worker in and it also points on the bariers keeping multidisciplinary cooperation from optimal functioning.
