The Hotel Velichovky

This diploma’s dissertation is on project of a new hotel building with three aboveground and one underground floors. This study starts at the building stage and focuses on the construction details and energy demands of the building. Also included is a fire safety solution for the new hotel building. The layout and architectural desing is according to the investor´s requirements, with respect to applicable laws, regulations, standards. Traditional materials are designed for the new building, taking into account the latest developments in the construction industry.
Apartment Building in Stará Turá

The subject of the bachelor thesis was a design of an apartment building. The work consisted in complex desing project documentation of the construction building, assesment of the building in terms of building physics and the design of the fire solutions. The project was developed on a specific ground plot with regard on an urbanistic design and so that the newly designed construction building fits with its architecture into the surounding buildings.
Family Farmhouse with Accommodation

At the almost flat plot in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains a family farmhouse with accommodation was designed. A specific part of the design documentation for construction implementation was prepared. The family farmhouse is operationally and dispositionally divided into 3 parts: family house, garage, and boarding house. The building comprises 3 dwelling units (five-bedroom flats with kitchenette, two two-bedroom flats with kitchenette), accommodation (6 rooms, 19 beds), a restaurant (48 indoor seats, 32 outdoor seats), shop (17,79 m2 sales area). The part of the building for public use is accessible. The foundations are made of a system of foundation strips made of plain concrete, external wall of floors is walled with clay blocks and insulated with external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS). The floor structures and staircase are made of reinforced cast-in-place concrete. The building is roofed with a sloping gable roof using ceramic roof tiles.

The aim of the master´s thesis is to design a Residential care home as smart building. It is situated in the centre of Křenovice near Brno. The master´s thesis is divided into three parts, first part presents design documentation, second part is focused on building services and the final part presents noise control in building. Residential care house is designed as two-storey building without basement with flat roof. On the first floor there is utility area for senior house and healthcare facility and on the second floor there are flats for seniors. Residential care house is built on footing. Load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls are designed from hollow bricks type THERM. External walls are insulated with mineral wool. The roofing of residential care house is made up of extensive green roof. The building services of the building includes two ground-water heat pumps with boreholes for heating and cooling, photovoltaic panels, HVAC, hot water cylinder and rainwater storage tank. The final part is focused on noise control in building. It is about acoustic in construction. Noise study is also included.
Apartment house in Trutnov

The aim of the bachelor’s work is composition of project documentation for the constrution building of apartment building in Trutnov. Object is situated on the cadastral area of Trutnov, number of builing plot is 2656/6. Builing plot is locate in bulit-up area. Terain is sloping. In the apartment building there are 4 floors with thirteen residential units. On the first floor there are two flats, a cleaning room, a room for an administrator, an exchange room and a cellar. In the above-ground floor there are situated flats. The main entrance to the building is on the second floor. Structural system of this builing is wall system. External walls are made of ground brick blocks with mineral insulation bonded with a walling adhesive. Internal masonry is made up of acoustic brick blocks. The building haven´t external thermal insulation. The facade is made of heat-insulating plaster with a silicate top layer. Floor structure is designed as a cast-in-place two way reinforced slab. Staircase and lift shaft are designet as cast-in-place reinforced contstruction too. Roofing of objekt is composed of flat roof. Floor construction are designed as floating floor.

Submitted diploma thesis prepares project documentation for the construction of a hotel building with a restaurant, which is located in the central built-up area of the town called Letovice situated in the South Moravian region. The solved building is partially basement with three above-ground floors covered by a flat vegetation roof. The hotel is designed with 23 accommodation units with a total capacity for 52 persons (including 4 persons with reduced mobility on the 2nd floor) and a restaurant for 98 guests, a bathroom and a kitchen. Guest rooms are located in the 2nd and 3rd floors. There are representative areas of the hotel in the form of an entrance hall with reception, areas for hotel management and a restaurant with a kitchen including social facilities for employees on the groud floor. There is a technical background of the building and maintance working room in the basement. The building comlies the requirement for low-energy standard buildings by combining a quality construction solution with thermal insulation of the building cover and other technological solitions. The overall character of the building is underlined by its architectural design in the form of partial greening of the facade. This solution is combined with large glazed areas giving a feeling of spaciousness and evocative cleanliness to the building.
Family House with Aerobics and Fitness Studio

The subject of this bachelor's thesis was to elaborate project documentation for a new family house with the Aerobics and Fitness Studio establishment. The building is divided into two functionally separate parts, a family house for a family of four and the Aerobics and Fitness Studio facility. The building has two floors above ground and one underground and it has partial basement. The building is located in the village, where the construction of houses and infrastructure is planned to be. The skeleton of the building consists of a combined structural system of vertical walls made of ceramic blocks and the connection of a reinforced concrete ceiling structure, where it was necessary to design reinforced concrete columns with gutters as a supporting structure for large overlaps. The roof of the building consists of a flat roof what is designed as a vegetation roof. The family house also includes a garage, which is located on the first underground floor with a capacity of three parking spaces. The emphasized attention was paid to technical requirements, functionality, purposefulness, and housing demands during the processing of project documentation. Part of the project was the assessment of fire safety of the building, thermal technical assessment, building design solution, architectural-building solution, evaluation in terms of building physics.
New station of the Czech Mountain Rescue Service in Ramzová made of hempcrete

The aim of this project is a design of a Mountain Service station in Ramzová located in the Protected Landscape Area Jeseníky. It is a two-storey rectangular building with a gable roof. It has a light wooden frame with hempcrete thermal insulation with diffusely-open constructions. The roof and the facade are covered with split larch shingles. All materials used are selected with respect to their environmental impact in combination with modern approaches. The building is designed as a near-zero energy building, including an air handling unit, a heat source in the form of an air-water heat pump, as well as photovoltaic panels placed vertically on the structure in the northwestern part of the property. The work also includes research into the properties of hempcrete. Laboratory measurements of a heat transfer coefficient and compressive strength of the material were made on samples of hempcrete and are implemented to the project. The result is a building using today's most advanced technology combined with traditional natural construction.
Apartment house in Uherské Hardiště

The bachelor's thesis deals with the construction and layout of a newly built apartment building in Uherské Hradiště on plot no. 885/1 in Zahrádky Street. This is a basement building with above-ground floors. There are 10 flats on the upper floors in the basement there are common areas of home equipment and cellars for individual flats. The ground floor consists of 3 residential units a cleaning room and a carriage house. There are 4 residential units on the second floor and there are on the third floor 3 housing units. The building is based on simple concrete foundation strips. The vertical construction system consists of ceramic blocks in the above-ground part and BEST formwork in the underground part the horizontal construction is made of ceramic concrete. The roof of the building consists of a single-skin flat roof. The land on which construction is planned is grassy over the entire area. The entrance to the building is situated on the east side. The projected accommodation capacity is for 24 people. Adjacent to the building is a parking area about 17 parking spaces, of which 1 is for people with reduced mobility.
Mixed-use Building in Ledeč nad Sázavou

The master thesis designs a mixed-use building in Ledeč nad Sázavou. The thesis consists of three parts. First part presents the project documentation of architectural-construction. Second part proposes the technical equipment of the building. Third part is assessment of the designed building by methodology for multicriteria evaluation of buildings SBToolCZ. The building is located in undeveloped and slightly sloping land. The building has three above-ground floors. There are three different operations in the building, which are a café and an electrical shop and an office part. There is a café, an electrical shop, technical and storage facilities on the first floor. The second and third floor is an office part and company apartment. Structurally, the building is solved by a two-wax load bearing system. The building is founded on footing and foundation slab. Load bearing vertical elements are walls, columns and posts. Externall wall is designed from ceramics block with and mineral insulation. Horizontal load-bearing structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced slabs. The building has a flat roof. In the building is air condition and cooling system and heating. Part of electricity demand is covered by photovoltaics on the roof. All drawings and visualization are designes in software ArchiCAD.
