Media representation of the costruction of gender roles in a total institutionon the example of Orange is the new black

The diploma thesis Media representation of the construction of gender roles in a total institution on the example of Orange Is the New Black series is a content research with application of qualitative methods, which analyses and describes the use of feminine and masculine gender roles in a women's prison. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part I described the theory, which is essential for understanding the topic. Here I looked into the history and theory of total institutions, prisons and imprisonment. I also put and emphasis on gender, theories of social and media construction of reality and gendered media content. In the second, methodological part I characterized the analysis sample and the research method. I also defined thematic categories, research questions and objectives of the research. The research is based on the ethnographic research of Kateřina Nedbálková. With the help of her analysis I defined the analytical categories, into which I divided the research. I analyzed selected data and from those I deduced relevant conclusions, I answered my research questions and evaluated the given objectives.

Athletics in physical education from the perspective of grammar school students

Title: Athletics in physical education from the perspective of grammar school students Aim: The aim of this thesis is to determine how grammar school students in selected regions view athletics in physical education classes and their relationship to the sport as a whole and its individual disciplines. Methods: The thesis is based on the quantitative research conducted among grammar school students of third and fourth grades in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analysed in Microsoft Excel and SPSS programs. Basic descriptive characteristics were identified and then processed into tables and charts. Results were verified in a manner based on the nature of the variables, using either the Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney non-parametric test or Spearman rank correlation coefficient. Tests were conducted at 5%, resp. 1% level of significance. Results: Athletics are perceived as negative by 40.1 % of responding students - with girls prevailing over boys in this group. The perception of athletics is mostly influenced by teachers of physical education, but also depends on the level of physical activity. Classes for the most part emphasize learning skills in various athletic disciplines, but grading still often reflects only the performance. The preferred...

Social security of women during pregnancy and maternity and protection of their work Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the security of women during pregnancy and motherhood and the safety of their work. The whole work illustrates the development of social security in the Czech Republic, in particular the current situation of social security with the main focus on pregnant women and parents taking care of their children. The diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the historical development of social security in the territory of the Czech Republic, in particular the development in the 20 century which is decisive for the current state of social security in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the international context of social security. The Czech Republic is a member state of several international organisations whose legislation has a significant impact on our social area. Therefore, this chapter is also devoted to international organisations and international law regulations focused on the social area, in particular on the rights of social security. Title: Athletics in physical education lessons of grammar schools and its comparison with the situation abroad Aims: The aim of this thesis is to research the teaching of athletics at grammar schools of chosen Czech regions and thereby provide an overview of athletics teaching extent; disciplines selected by teachers and practised by students during physical education; whether the schools or the teachers are limited by material, spatial or other factors; what is the character of the lessons with athletic content and whether it is influenced by the attitude of the teacher to the relevant sport, i.e. his or her sports orientation. Another partial aim is the comparison of researched situation in the Czech Republic with the neighbouring countries of Germany and Austria. Methods: The thesis is based on the method of questionnaire interviews among teachers of physical education at grammar schools in chosen Czech regions and abroad. The questionnaires were spread through information and communication technologies and consequently analysed by Microsoft Excel. The results were compared with the situation abroad. Soluble forms of TLR receptors - a new biomarkers of histological chorioamnionitis in pregnancy complicated by preterm prelabor rupture of the membranes.

Background: Premature birth is a birth between 24th and 37th gestational weeks. Risk of preterm birth is in an increase of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Approximately in 3% of all pregnancies premature rupture of membranes (preterm premature rupture of membranes, PPROM) occurs. PPROM is responsible roughly for one-third of premature births. Among the important risk factors of PPROM infection is considered. The innate immunity has the decisive influence on the type and intensity of immune response to the microorganism present in the cavity, and is in particularly responsible for identifying the PAMP, pathogen-associated molecular patterns by specific receptors (PRR). The most important PRR are TLR receptors. They are primarily membrane expressed, although due to influence of many variable factors they can be shed from the membrane and can act in a soluble form. The aim of study our study is to measure the levels of soluble forms of PRR, especially sTLR2 sTLR4 and in amniotic fluid of patients with PPROM and to evaluate their possible diagnostic significance. Communication activities of IKEA brand in the Czech market during 2009-2011

2 Abstract Bachelor thesis "Communication activities of Ikea brand in the Czech market during 2009-2011" describes the company Ikea and its individual communication activities. It includes a brief company history, a story of its inception in 1943 and subsequent development to the present day. It also deals with the current situation of the brand from a global perspective. The thesis does not omit analysis of the reasons that led to the fact that the brand has become an icon. The work includes analysis of Ikea's position in the domestic market, its competition (focusing on competition from other furniture chains), the different instruments of marketing mix (product, price, distribution, promotion) and how the company uses them. The main part of the bachelor thesis deals with the various communication activities on the Czech market within three years. It describes and analyzes the print ads, outdoor, television and radio communication, online and in-store activities, Ikea Family loyalty program and corporate social responsibility (CSR), in both theoretical and practical level, applied to specific cases. Based on the acquired knowledge, the last chapter evaluates the effectiveness of these activities, or even suggests possible solutions for discovered problems in communication.

Comenia Script in written expression of left-handed pupils

The theme of this thesis is the tidiness of handwriting in primary school. The thesis has two parts, the theoretical one, and the practical one. Introduction and development of script in general is in the theoretical part. We have choosen two types of font, it is Comenia Script and "Psací latinka". We discuss problems of left-handed children in the primary school. There are some points about elements and qualitative characters of fonts. There are some notes about lefthanders abroad. We introduce research of our primary schools in the Czech republic in the practical part. The research is about comparing the tidiness of handwriting using Comenia Script and "Psací latinka" and between left and right-handed writing. The common problem of left-handed students is really bad tidiness and legibility of their handwriting. The main aim of this thesis is to find out, if the font Comenia Script can resolve this problem of left-handed student.

The Tourism Development within the Group of Municipalities Blatensko

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of tourism development within the microregion Svazek obcí Blatenska (SOB, Group of Municipalities Blatensko). The aim of the thesis is to analyse the potential of the SOB microregion for the development of tourism, to evaluate the possibilities and limits of tourist development from the point of view of local administration representatives, businessmen, service providers and representatives of local societies, and to offer suggestions for potential further development based on these findings. In the first part, definitions of key terms are provided and fields of interest are specified. The second part characterises SOB, describes and evaluates the infrastructure of tourism and provides a comprehensive summary of the attractions of the discussed area. The third part is concerned with the analysis of tourism within the SOB microregion from the point of view of selected groups of interest. It also includes suggestions for making use of the region's potential for tourism development. To achieve the aim of the thesis, available literature on relevant issues was analysed and a questionnaire survey was conducted. The work combines an objective analysis of the region's potential with the views and opinions of local entities involved. As a result, it provides a complex insight into tourism in the given microregion and can serve as inspiration for the SOB villages regarding their future steps in tourism development.
