Sosnovcová, Veronika ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Opatrná Novotná, Irena (referee)
Author: Veronika Sosnovcová Title: Postural stability measured by the Y-balance test in girls who practice sports aerobics and sports gymnastics. Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out the difference in postural stability in girls from sports aerobics and artistic gymnastics. Compare the athletes from different age categories and see if the postural stability improves with age. The diploma thesis also tries to clarify the effect of hypermobility on postural control. Methods: 79 girls - 42 from sports aerobics and 37 from sports gymnastics - participated in this research. Probands were from 8 years old to adult girls. All the measurements were done in the gyms of the particapating clubs from october 2021 to february 2022. The girls were measured by Y-balance test which test their dynamic postural balance and by Beihgton score which test their hypermobility. Microsoft Excel 365 and stastistic software R (version 4.0.3.) were used for evaluation of results. The results were processed using a linear regression model. As a level of statistical significance was considered α=0,005. Results: This study showed that there are statistical significant differences in postural stability between grils from sports gymnastics and sports aerobics. The significant difference is in evaluation of all...

Title: The effect of individual telerehabilitation on functional mobility and balance in patients with multiple sclerosis Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to verify the usefulness of telerehabilitation in influencing balance disorders of people with multiple sclerosis and to describe the effect of telerehabilitation on balance disorders and functional mobility in patients with multiple sclerosis. The theoretical part aims to describe the current trends in telerehabilitation and therapy of balance disorders in patients with multiple sclerosis in the Czech Republic and abroad. Methods: The research group consisted of 20 probands with multiple sclerosis, who subjectively perceived balance disorders. The group was divided into control and experimental group in a ratio of 1:1. The experimental group underwent an online twelve-week training course conducted in the form of the individual telerehabilitation (twice per week, 45 minutes each intervention). The training included strength and balance exercises supplemented by the Homebalance device. The control group underwent a twelve-week routine rehabilitation care, where patients underwent at least one individual physiotherapy and homework instruction. The initial and final examinations that all subjects underwent included functional tests: One-leg...

Title: Monitoring the effect of short-term application of selected sleep hygiene rules on postural stability Aims: The aim of this work was to monitor the influence of short-term application of selected sleep hygiene rules on postural stability using a Computerized Dynamic Posturography NeuroCom Smart EquiTest machine in healthy young individuals. Methods: This work is characterized as an experimental pilot study. The research set consists of 20 individuals (n=20). The set was then divided into an experimental group (n1=10) and a control group (n2=10). The probands were approached based on previously defined criteria (healthy young adults, higher education and university students between 20 and 30 years of age, the average age in the experimental group (n1=10) was 24,74  2,56 years, the average age in the control group (n2=10) was 25,39  2,97 years,). The method of proband choice was non-probabilistic selection the snowball method. The measurements were performed at the Laboratory of Applied Kinesiology of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. A Computerized Dynamic Posturography NeuroCom Smart EquiTest machine was used to assess and evaluate the postural stability. The testing protocol included the following tests: Sensory Organisation Test, Motor Control Test, Limits...

Title: The occurence of musculoskeletal disorders and level of upper trunk postural stability measured by upper quarter Y-balance test in guitar players Objective: The thesis deals with arts medicine, health disorders and postural stability of guitar players. The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine prevalence of playing-related musculoskeletal disorers (PRMD) throught questionnaire and upper trunk postural stability level occuring in guitar players throught upper quarter Y-balance test (UQYBT). Methods: This experimental pilot study included 20 guitar player aged 18-25, playing the instrument 10-14 h per week at least. Prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders was measured by modified Nordic Musculoskeletal Diosorders Questionnaire. Definition of musculoskeletal disorders was specified by Zaza's PRMD definition. Annual and weekly prevalence of PRMD was determined and its effect on daily activities. Upper trunk postural stability level was measured by upper quarter Y-balance test. Composite score was calculated from maximal distances reached in each direction for analysis. Descriptive statistics, Microsoft Excel program and statistics method Shapiro-Wilk test were used for data analysis. Results: Annual prevalence of PRMD was found in 90 % of guitar players. PRMD in guitar players upper trunk...

Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with total endoprosthesis of the left knee joint. Aims: The aim of the thesis is to develop a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with endoprosthesis of the left knee joint. Methods: The case study, a special part of the thesis, was developed in the context of a continuous professional practice in the Rehabilitation Clinic of Malvazinky, which took place during January and February 2022. Initially, a medical history was taken and an initial kinesiological examination was performed, based on which short-term and long-term goals of therapy were established. Subsequently, 10 therapeutic units were performed following the set goals. The whole therapy was concluded with a final kinesiological examination and evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Results: From the evaluation of the effect of the therapy, it was found that most of the key values were improved during the therapy sessions. Keywords: total knee replacement, knee joint, gonarthrosis, case study, physiotherapy
