Procházka, Jiří ; Černochová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Neumajer, Ondřej (referee)
Exploring the Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Supporting the Work of Computer Science Teachers at the Secondary School Level ABSTRACT This master's thesis explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT-4, in teaching information technology at secondary schools. The theoretical part provides an overview of current AI approaches and compares major language models, emphasizing ChatGPT-4 for its capabilities in text generation, image creation from text, coding, and effective communication in Czech. The case study focused on utilizing ChatGPT-4 within the teacher's competency framework, encompassing the creation of educational materials, planning, conducting and reflecting on teaching, environment creation, feedback and evaluation, professional communication, and development. The study confirmed that ChatGPT-4 can significantly improve teacher's work efficiency, saving time and thereby supporting greater individualization in teaching. An analysis of available AI tools suitable for teaching information technology was also conducted. The discussion addresses how AI integration into information technology teaching can transform the teacher's role. AI offers support in material preparation and teaching optimization, increasing opportunities for personal interaction with students....
Online-Merge-Offline Classroom and Its Particularities
Karičáková, Veronika ; Neumajer, Ondřej (advisor) ; Černochová, Miroslava (referee)
The thesis focuses on online-merge-offline classroom practice in a sense of teaching both physically present and remotely connected pupils/students simultaneously using videoconferencing applications, which was implemented at many schools in Czechia to provide the continuity of education to those, who found themselves in quarantine or isolation due to the covid-19 pandemic. The goal of this study is to find out how was this hybrid teaching format put into practice by different teachers, describe its main benefits and challenges, and propose recommendations for its effective implementation. The empirical part of the thesis is a qualitative study employing the method of interview. The respondents were nine selected teachers who led lessons this way during the school year 2021/2022. From those interviews, several risks and challenges emerged, for instance the demanding nature of implementing the online-merge-offline classroom practice for the teaches, who needed to divide their attention between two heterogeneous groups, look for suitable new methods to include all the pupils and deal with the technical limitations of the digital technology available to them. Furthermore, there seems to be a risk of growing disparity between the individual pupils' educational outcomes, their wellbeing might also be...

International context of a school ICT coordinator
Blažek, Jiří ; Brdička, Bořivoj (advisor) ; Neumajer, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis debates differences of an ICT coordinator's work in different countries. In its theoretical part, it examines work of an ICT coordinator and If and how this role could be separated to methodical (pedagogical) work and coordinating work and emphasizes how important it is to separate this role from a work of a technician. This work also brings results of various international researches from this field and compares them with a research done in the Czech Republic. Comparing the results reveals that situation of Czech ICT coordinators does not differ in most points from their international counterparts. The two areas that show differences is that the Czech coordinators are more often expected to cover work of a an IT technican and more issues with quality of hardware and internet connection.
