Liquidity on euro area money markets and unconventional monetary policy
Majerová, Barbora ; Adam, Tomáš (advisor) ; Havránek, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to estimate the effectiveness of the ECB's measures, namely of the Long-term refinancing operations (LTROs), on the liquidity and credit risk components. These components are estimated according De Socio (2011) methodology, which derives them from the Euribor-Eonia swap spread. The author's hypothesis, that the LTROs have a higher impact on liquidity risk and very small impact on the credit risk, has been confirmed based on impulse response functions from a VAR model. Other parts of the thesis introduce the development on the financial markets during the period 2002 - mid 2007; the liquidity (market, funding and central bank liquidity) and liquidity risks connected to them; development of secured and unsecured money market rates and more importantly the ECB's unconventional monetary policy measures, which were conducted since the crises started.
Study of inflammation using epithelial cells
Majerová, Barbora ; Hodek, Petr (advisor) ; Koblihová, Jitka (referee)
The human respiratory system is in constant contact with heterogeneous agents from the environment. There must be effective mechanical lung barriers and sufficient immune protection due to continuous deposition of various substances in the respiratory system. The mutual balance between the mechanisms of natural and adaptive immunity of the lungs is essential for destruction of infectious agents without initiation of inflammatory response. Overreaction of the immune system of the lungs may lead to the production of various inflammatory mediators and cytokines such as interleukins IL-1, IL-6 and IL-18. When determining the immunogenicity of a substance, it has to be exposed to lung epithelial cells, and then the concentration of cytokines produced is measured. To determine the immunogenicity of mammalian immunoglobulin G and chicken immunoglobulin Y the subsequent twenty-four hour exposure to A549 lung cancer cell line was made. Concentration measurement of cytokines IL-1 and IL-6 was performed using Luminex method, which pointed out the immunogenicity of goat immunoglobulin G and certain chicken immunoglobulins Y.
Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after stabilization surgery of the shoulder joint after multiple luxation
Majerová, Barbora ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Mazancová, Iva (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after stabilization surgery of the shoulder joint after multiple luxation Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the shoulder joint luxation issue and its surgery. The practical part contains case study of physiotherapy of patient with such diagnosis. Methodology of thesis: The bachelor thesis is divided into two sections. The first section is theoretical and deals with the anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder joint, types of its instabilities and luxations. Diagnosis of those issues and possibilities of treatment (conservative, surgery, physiotherapy). The second section is practical and contains the case study of patient who underwent a repetitive right shoulder luxation and its surgery stabilisation. The patient passed out the physiotherapeutic treatment in the time between 8th January 2016 and 21st January 2016 at the MediCentrum Praha. Case study contains the case history, entrance kinesiology analysis, eight therapeutic units, final kinesiology analysis and evaluation of results. Result: Patient's health has improved. Both the motion range of right shoulder joint and muscle strength have been increased. The hypertonus of the trapezius muscles has been lowered. Keywords: Shoulder joint, luxation, physiotherapy

Linguistic Analysis of the Blog "Módní peklo"
Majerová, Barbora ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (advisor) ; Šoltys, Otakar (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Linguistic Analysis of the Blog Módní peklo" introduces popular Czech blog Módní peklo which critically reflects shortcomings of Czechs in the domain of fashion. The introductory part of the paper contains the definition of the term blog and describes the current status of blogs in the Internet network. The main part of the thesis is divided into two larger units. The first one focuses on the detailed thematic and contentual characteristics of the blog Módní peklo. It describes the history of the blog since its emergence in 2010, including the most important points in its existence. This section also introduces the author of the blog and mentions web platforms that are thematically related to Módní peklo. The second unit brings an analysis of the language which is typical for the blog. The description emphasizes particularly lexicologic and stylistic terms. The described phenomena are exemplified by authentic examples from the blog. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the findings reached in the previous chapters. This part of the text contains the debate of how the language of the blog affects its popularity among the readers. The thesis includes an interview with the author of the blog and appropriate text and image attachment.

Effect of inhaled IgY and Fab fragments on the lung inflammation
Majerová, Barbora ; Hodek, Petr (advisor) ; Koblas, Tomáš (referee)
Human respiratory system is in constant contact with heterogeneous environmental agents, which can possibly become initiators of inflammatory responses. Mechanical barriers and balance between the innate and adaptive immunity provide protection from external agents without initiation of any inflammatory response. Under certain circumstances, overreaction of the immune system might occur and leads to the production of various inflammatory cytokines and mediators such as TNF-α and GM-CSF factors or interleukins IL-1ß and IL-6. Respiratory system of the human suffering from cystic fibrosis is unable to defend against bacterial infections effectively. Chicken egg immunoglobulins (IgY) could eventually become a suitable tool for the protection from opportunistic pathogens, because they, when bound to antigen, don't activate the complement cascade. One method of determining the immunogenicity of the studied agent is the exposure of experimental animal and further measurement of inflammatory cytokine concentration. In this thesis, the potential inflammatory effect of IgY, IgY-derived Fab fragments and ovalbumin was determined after an exposure of Wistar rats by long-term inhalation. Correct implementation of inhalation experiment was confirmed via production of specific antibodies against the inhaled...
Flexibilita pracovního trhu, její měření a vliv na nezaměstnanost
Majerová, Barbora ; Zápal, Jan (advisor) ; Klimešová, Andrea (referee)
In its theoretical part, this bachelor thesis is concerned with the possible definitions and types of labour market flexibility with a subsequent aim at numerical flexibility. The first part deals with OECD and World bank indeces, which measure numerical flexibility at national level. Since these are established on the measure of strictness of Employment protection legislation, a part of this study is dedicated to the development of labour law in the Czech republic. This is followed by a look at flexible forms of employment and organisation of working time, the development of which is related to the strategies that countries employ in their bid to achieve higher employment. The main target of this work is to create indeces which will measure internal and external numerical flexibility in all regions of the Czech republic. Their structuring is established on the methodology of Vassilis Monastiriotis who created such index for regions of Great Britain. The resulting index values are used in panel data. The hypothesis that a low vaule of flexibility results in a high rate of unemployment was tested and was confirmed only with the index of external numerical flexibility. Despite this result, it was found that the indeces are useful and may help us in understanding and explaining the situation on the...
