Topology optimization of the line-start synchronous machines
Electromagnetic model of a line-start synchronous machine
Lípa, Miroslav ; Lolová, Iveta (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
The main goal of the work was to compare two effective methods used for calculating the electric machine. The primary method uses an electromagnetic model made of a resistance network, which is compared to a finite element method using an Ansys Maxwell environment. The resistance network is calculated in the Python programming language. The work deals with a synchronous machine with permanent magnets that can be run directly from the source, because it contains the squirrel cage. Thus, at steady state, the machine achieves greater efficiency than the asynchronous machine. The first chapter describes the basic principles of a line-start synchronous machines, the second chapter shows the ways in which electrical machines can be modelled. The third chapter describes the derivation of the resistance network for the assigned machine, the whole electromagnetic design is given here. The fourth chapter shows the gradual calculation, describing the simplifications and problems that have arisen, it also shows a comparison with the finite element method.
Design of Line-start synchronous machine
Lolová, Iveta ; Klíma, Jiří (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor, because in these days the world focuses on energy saving more than ever. Line-start permanent magnet motors represents a possible replacement for asynchronous motors, which are the most used kind of motors and constitute one of the greatest energy consumption apparatuses in the world. The efficiency improvement of induction motors is usually achieved through design optimization of induction motors resulting in limited degrees of success. This thesis also thoroughly explains LSPMSM topology and compares properties of the line-start permanent magnet motors and asynchronous motors. This thesis deals with the design of line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor based on previously designed asynchronous motor. In the last chapter LSPMSM is investigated in RMxprt and Ansys Maxwell.

Electromagnetic Analysis Of Line-Start Synchronous Reluctance Machines Optimized By Means Of Topology Optimization
Lolová, Iveta
This paper deals with the electromagnetic analysis of a line-start synchronous reluctancemotor optimized by means of topology optimization based on the normalized Gaussian network.Topology optimization using the normalized Gaussian network represents the novel approach forelectrical machines improvements. This article evaluates this approach as promising due to the electromagneticanalysis results of selected individual of the Pareto front. The main contribution of thisarticle is a comprehensive electromagnetic analysis of line-start synchronous reluctance machine optimizedby the above mention method.
Design Of Super Premium Efficiency Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine
Lolová, Iveta
This article deals with line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor, because the world focuses on energy saving in these days more than ever. Line-start permanent magnet motors represents a possible replacement for asynchronous motors, which are the most used types of motors and represent one of the greatest energy consumption apparatuses in the world. This article deals with the design of line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor based on previously designed asynchronous motor. LSPMSM is analyzed in Ansys Maxwell. The obtained results are compared with results of measurement in the last chapter.
