Signal analyzer with FPGA
Kraus, Václav ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to study the possibilities of spectrum calculations, as well as data transfer via USB 3.0 and data saving to a DDR3 memory via FPGA. The focus is also on design and realization of a spectral analyzer with a record of samples to DDR memory expnaded by a narrowband converter using gate arrays. The work is divided into two sections, the first one dealing with the theoretical background. The second part denotes the realization of the design. The result of this work is a signal analyzer in a FPGA controlled from a computer application via the USB 3.0 interface.
Two legged walking robot
Kraus, Václav ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work is to present the topic of walking robots, the design and construction of a two-legged wirelessly controled robot. The work is divided into two parts. The first one is theoretical. It addresses the possibilities of sensorics and wireless communication technologies, which are used in robotics. The second part includes the robot's design of construction, walking and electronics. The output of this work is the robot construction, which is controled using a computer application via wireless technology WiFi.
Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Sesquiterpene Lactones from Laserpitium archangelica.
Sajfrtová, Marie ; Kraus, V. ; Wimmer, Z. ; Cerhová, Marie ; Vlk, M.
The aim of the work was to describe the SFE of two STLs, archangelolide and trilobolide, from seeds of Laserpitium archangelica (Apiaceae). The objectives consisted in: (a) optimizing, investigating the SFE condition (pressure, temperature and concentration ofmodifier in scCO2) effect on the yield and concentration of STLs in extract, (b) \nDetermination of the SFE kinetics of major components in the extracts and (c) comparing the SFE with pressurised liquid extraction (PLE) and Soxhlet extraction.\n\n\n

Position-Sensitive Coincidence Detection of Nuclear Reaction Products at the Prague Van-de-Graaff Accelerator
Granja, Carlos ; Kraus, V. ; Pugatch, V. ; Kohout, Z.
In low-energy nuclear reactions of astrophysical interest or fusion studies the spatial-and time-correlated detection of two and more reaction products can be a valuable tool in studies of reaction mechanisms, resolving reaction channels and measuring angular distributions of reaction products. For this purpose we constructed a configurable array of position-sensitive detectors based on the hybrid semiconductor pixel detector Timepix. Additional analog-signal electronics provide self-trigger together with extended multi-device control and synchronized readout electronics by a customized control and coincidence unit. The instrumentation, developed and used for detection of fission fragments in spontaneous and neutron induced fission as well as in charged particle detection in neutron induced reactions, is being implemented for low-energy light-ion induced nuclear reactions. Application and demonstration of the technique with two Timepix detectors on p+p elastic scattering at the Van-de-Graaff (VdG) accelerator in Prague is given.

Two Legged Walking Robot
Kraus, V.
The aim of this work is to construct a two-legged wirelessly controlled walking robot. This paper describes the construction of the robot, its control electronics, and the solution of the wireless control. The article also includes a description of the application to control the robot. The control electronics of the walking robot are built using the development kit Arduino Mega, which is enhanced with WiFi module allowing the wireless control, a set of ultrasonic sensors for detecting obstacles in the robot`s surroundings and accelerometer for maintaining balance.
Information security management system in small business
Kraus, Vojtěch ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis discusses information security management and information security management systems in small businesses. The goal and prospective added value of this thesis is to provide with a set of practical comments and recommendations for those who implement and/or administer an information security management system in the delicate environment of a small enterprise. First part of the thesis contains theoretical definition of information security and information security management systems. Also, this part describes standards relevant to this thesis. Second part defines the concept of "small business" and discusses possible options of designing ISMS in such business so that it complies with standards mentioned above and is an effective as well as affordable solution which does not demand excessive amount of company's resources. Third and final part of this thesis is analysis of ISMS of a specific company that fits the definition of small business -- BDO IT a.s.
Fatigue strength and life of real structures under combined random loading
Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Fröhlich, Vladislav ; Kraus, V.
An investigation of fatigue strength and life usually joined with experiments, which are made using small testing specimens. This is the reason why majority of numerical methods used for fatigue of materials was derived basing on those experiments under kinds of loading. It is rather difficult to apply these methods for real structures loaded by random combined processes in service. The contribution discusses the problem and shows its complexity on an example.
Modelování a simulace výrobných systémů založených na principu tahu
Kraus, Vladimír ; Zvánovcová, Helena (advisor) ; Vavrla, Lukáš (referee)
Práce se zabývá modelováním a simulací výrobních systémů řízených principem tahu (kanban, CONWIP). Analyzuje vzájemný vztah průtoku, operačních zásob a doby výroby. Zohledňuje stochastické vlivy a variabilitu procesů. Teoretické základy jsou aplikovány na příkladu výrobní linky CP1H ve společnosti Bosch Diesel.
