C++ Implementation of FPNN Structures
Pánek, Richard ; Čekan, Ondřej (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the design and the C++ implementation of the Field Programmable Neural Networks (FPNNs) simulator. It briefly introduces the concept of artificial neural networks as it is the base of the FPNN concept. It presents the concept formal definitions and its calculation methods. The thesis also describes the special features of the FPNNs and the differences between the FPNNs and the classic neural networks. Furthermore, it deals with models of fault tolerant FPNNs. All the presented principles are used as the base of the developed implementation and the subsequent experiments.
A Reading Diary Application
Navrátil, Petr ; Podivínský, Jakub (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
Development of information technology enables us to take notes of all kind in more comfortable, electronic way than as it was in written form. Improvement can be seen for example in case of reading diaries which were mostly hand-written when we first got in touch with them in elementary school. This Bachelor's thesis is focusing on creating an application suitable for writing a personal reading diary. Application will enable user to fill own literary analysis, track reading time of books or add books to user's individual lists which will represent shelves as known from libraries. Users will be able to share their books and shelves with other users.
Mechanical design of experimental extruder for 3D printing of industrial clay
Žižlavský, Vít ; Krčma, Martin (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with possibilities of FDM printing of industrial clay and construction of experimental extruder for 3D printing of this material. The extruder delivers 3D prints of art and design items. There is no facility to print these clays on 2019 market. The main task of this work is to create a design of the extruder. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with summary of modeling clay properties. In the practical part, the parameters of the extruder are determined, the thermodynamic properties of the clay are measured, the forces necessary for extrusion are measured at different temperatures and the piston extruder is designed. The device extrude the preheated material with a screw piston. Axial displacement of the screw is achieved by turning the nut. The device is adapted for quick replacement of the capsule with preheated clay. The resulting extruder is suitable for experimental prints of model clay with different viscosities. Using the extruder, it is possible to test the actual behavior of the modeling clay during printing and to design optimal printing parameters for its more massive use.
On Analysis of Fault and Error Impact to Behavior of an Operating System Kernel
Blašková, Adriána ; Krčma, Martin (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the impact of faults and errors on behavior of an operating system kernel. It contains detailed basic concepts and techniques such as system reliability, faults and errors or mechanisms for reliability increase. It focuses on design, implementation, execution and evaluation of experiments in order to classify the effects of faults to the selected operating system kernel but also to the applications, which are running on the kernel.
Large-Scale Robotic 3D Printing of Polymer Composites
Byly srovnány 4 metody, kombinující neplanární slicing a orientovaný 3D tisk, z pohledu kvality povrchu, obtížnosti zpracování a vystavitelnosti.
Mechanical properties of large scale 3D printing parts
Sýkora, Jakub ; Krčma, Martin (referee) ; Křivohlavý, Petr (advisor)
This study focuses on the mechanical properties of polymer samples printed using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) on a KUKA KR8 R1620 robotic arm with layer height and orientation relative to the bed as parameters. The samples were tested for tensile strength. The shape of the specimens was designed to eliminate the stress concentrations generated by the manufacturing process. The maximum stress values were compared with each other and the results were evaluated. In the end, it was evaluated how faster it is to print a sample using a 2 mm nozzle than a 0.4 mm nozzle. The results showed that the ductile materials (PETG and CPE) have significantly less load carrying capacity when printed on the robotic arm. For fragile materials (PLA and NonOilen) the difference is smaller. A sample can be printed up to 20 times faster using a 2 mm nozzle at a layer height of 1.5 mm than on a conventional printer at a layer height of 0.2 mm. The results of this work are intended to serve as a benchmark for further investigation of large-scale 3D printing. They can give a basic understanding of the properties and behaviour of materials printed using large diameter nozzles.
Creation of CAD data for structured parts
Kolář, Dominik ; Krčma, Martin (referee) ; Vaverka, Ondřej (advisor)
Lattice structures are a subset of cellular structures used, for example, for topological optimization of components produced by additive manufacturing. However, the design of the structures is very demanding in classical CAD (computer-aided design) modellers. One of the specialized software for structure design is nTop. This thesis describes the creation of a workflow in nTop to create structures with a combination of unit cell types defined by relative cell density. The creation of the workflow consisted of several parts. First, the unit cells of the structure were designed. Then, using polynomial interpolation in Matlab, the relative density to member diameters conversions were made, and finally a procedure for combining the different cell types into a single part was designed. Thus, the resulting workflow allows to build a part of any shape consisting of different cell types determined by relative density.
