Valuation of damage caused by a lightning strike to a house in the village of Šebetov
Šumberová, Petra ; Klimeš, Jan (referee) ; Šmahel, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the amount of indemnity for damage caused by a lightning strike to a house in the village Šebetov. The thesis is dividend into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts, associated with the topic. Furthermore, the approach of valuation of assets and insurance. The practical part uses theoretical knowledge addresses a specific case. First, the location is described, house and insured event (natural event – flash). Following the calculation of the time value immediately before the insured event, further costs are quantified to repair the damage incurred and then is detected current value after repairs. At the end, there is comparison of the time price comparisons of costs incurred for repairs and evaluation of the agreed sum insured in the insurance contract.
Multifunctional building near little chapel - Židenice
Klimeš, Jakub ; Elešová, Klára (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor) ; Petříček, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a mixed-use building at a crossing of two streets, Táborská and Nezamyslova, in the district of Židenice, Brno. The aim of the work is to come up with a new architectural and urbanistic concept, which will also enhance the vicinity of the building. The house itself has four storeys. The ground floor is reserved for commerce, such as shops, and a future expansion with a small cafeteria is planned. The following three floors are residential. Part of the second floor serves as a roof terrace for the inhabitants of the building. The structure terminates with a flat green roof. There are two underground parking storeys, with places reserved not only for the inhabitants of the building, but also of the surrounding area, which improves rentability. The concept tries to unify the corner of the two streets and reacts to the surrounding structures. The last house on Táborská street is a three-storey house, while the one on Nezamyslova is a two-storey one. For those reasons, the floor plan of the building has the shape of an “L”, and there is an indent in the eastern part, which corresponds with the house on Nezamyslova street. This indent forms the aforementioned roof terrace. The concept also incorporates the public space in front of the house, which is dominated by a chapel. This area shields the building from the noisy streets. A large amount of greenery, especially birches, is proposed in this space, to improve the greenery coefficient of the plot. The façade consists of hung anodized aluminium panels, which are anchored into the walls of the structure. The object is located in a very busy area, which makes it obvious to use the ground floor for rentable commercial spaces. The apartments themselves are placed into the following three floors. The aim is to reduce the noise from the street as much as possible, and thus the sleeping and living rooms are all oriented into the private courtyard. There is a total of 14 apartm
Project of a Database for a Czech Red Cross Critical Evacuation Centre
Klimeš, Jiří ; Martoch, Zbyšek (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design of a database for a critical evacuation center of the Czech red cross. There are theoretical basics described in the first part. It offers basic overview of knowledge, which is important for reaching assigned aims. There is also analysed internal situation of the Czech red cross and defined requirements to the database. Obtained pieces of knowledge are processed in the practical part and they are utilised for the main proposal. Suggested design of the database is summed up in the final part.
Cyber Attacks in JMeter
Klimeš, Jan ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the security of computer networks based on TCP/IP protocol stack. The main aim is to create extension modules for application JMeter that add features to the software generate DoS attacks, SYN flood, UDP flood, DNS Server attack and DNS Amplification using applications Trafgen. The theoretical part generally describes cyber attacks, associated with network protocols and application JMeter itself. The practical part contains a description of the graphical interface of the expansion modules, each class which the modules consist of and test results.
Draft sources 1000A AC current sensors for calibration
Klimeš, Jan ; Vetiška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Dohnal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and construction of device for precise measurement of 1000 A alternate current. This thesis theoretically discusses the possibilities of conventional solutions, such as current transformers, as well as modern methods in the form of current sensors. The output of this thesis is a solution of problems with accuracy and discussion of other possible ways to reduce systematic error. The thesis discusses structure of the current transformer, the digitalizing of the signal and its usage as an input for engineering units. The device is then tested for final accuracy.
Short Circuit Currents in the Sokolnice 110 kV Switching Station with Direct 400/110 kV Transformation Applied
Klimeš, Jiří ; Špaček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
Klimeš Jiří Department of Electrical Power Engineering Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Short Circuit Currents in the Sokolnice 110 kV Switching Station with Direct 400/110 kV Transformation Applied doc. Ing. Vladimír Blažek, CSc. 51 p. This bachelor's thesis refers to the calculation short-circuit currents. The challenge is to evaluate short-circuit resistance switching station 110 kV Sokolnice that matches the direct transformation of 400/110 kV.
Granulometry of solid particles
Klimeš, Jiří ; Uher, Miroslav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a real-time granulometry measurement of granulate flow with acoustic emission sensors. Thesis is focused on coal granulometry measurement in thermal power stations. Parameters were introduced in time and frequency domain describing the granulometry of measured medium. The second part is focused on granulometry measurement experiment. Parameters were calculated for reference samples of material and they were evaluated. Third part of this thesis deals with finding correlations between process variables and selected parameters
Image analysis of object surface texture
Klimeš, Jiří ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design and implementation of algorithms for image analysis of object surface texture for the purpose of automating the surface grinding process. In the first part of this thesis, a search was performed in the field of image analysis of object surface texture. The proposed descriptors were tested on the created annotated database of texture images. Subsequently, a scene for image acquisition of the machined object was designed and assembled, and the grinding process was automated based on the results of the previous analysis. The implementation and achieved results were evaluated and other possible improvements were proposed.
Management of Information Flow of Small Software Company
Klimeš, Jiří ; Martoch, Zbyšek (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the management of information flow of a small company using Business Intelligence tools and the data mart. There is defined the problem of working with information from the point of view of selected company in the first part. The next part presents selected theoretical background on the basis of which was the aim achieved. The fourth part analyses the current situation of the company. There is recommended complex improvement of the current situation in the practical part. Selected information management problem is accomplished factually. There are also introduced suitable software tools, which were used for the solution.
Filtering of denial-of-service attacks
Klimeš, Jan ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Gerlich, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with filtering selected DDoS attacks on denial of the service. The the toretical part deals with the problems of general mechanisms used for DDoS attacks, defense mechanisms and mechanisms of detection and filtration. The practical part deals with the filtering of attacks using the iptables and IPS Suricata firewall on the Linux operating system in an experimental workplace using a network traffic generator to verify its functionality and performance, including the statistical processing of output data from filter tools using the Elasticsearch database.
