Detection of atrial fibrillation using intracardiac ECG
Kašparová, Michaela ; Novotná, Petra (referee) ; Ředina, Richard (advisor)
Atrial fibrillation is one of the most common heart rhythm disorders. It is caused by irreg- ular activation of the atria, which causes uncoordinated atrial contractions with a very high frequency, and therefore its early diagnosis is very important. The aim of this bachelor thesis is the automatic detection of atrial fibrillation in intracardiac recordings. The automatic detection allows finding the sections with atrial fibrillation and thus medi- ate a faster diagnosis. Testing of the developed algorithm was carried out on the available database of paediatric patients who underwent electrophysiological examination at the Children’s Hospital of the University Hospital Brno in the Czech Republic.
Synthesis of epitestosterone and 4-hydroxyestrone glucuronides using recombinant human UDP-glucuronosyltransferases.

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Michaela Kašparová Supervisors: Prof. RNDr. Lenka Skálová, Ph.D., Erkka Järvinen, M.Sc. (Pharm.) Title of diploma thesis: Synthesis of epitestosterone and 4-hydroxyestrone glucuronides using recombinant human UDP-glucuronosyltransferases Steroid hormones constitute an important part of the human endocrine system and are involved in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. Phase I and phase II biotransformation reactions convert these lipophilic, biologically active compounds to inactive, water-soluble metabolites that are readily excretable into bile or urine. One of the most common phase II biotransformation reactions is conjugation with glucuronic acid that is enabled by the catalytic activity of UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs). This study is focused on development and optimization of an enzymatic method for producing conjugates of glucuronic acid and two naturally occurring steroid hormones, epitestosterone and 4-hydroxyestrone. Recombinant human UGT2B7 was employed as a catalyst for the production of epitestosterone 17-glucuronide and 4-hydroxyestrone 4- glucuronide while synthesis of 4-hydroxyestrone 3-glucuronide was accomplished by UGT1A10 isoform. The synthesis reactions...
Suretyship and financial guarantee
Kašparová, Michaela ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Elischer, David (referee)
Suretyship and financial guarantee - abstract As a topic of my Thesis I chose two civil and earlier also business law institutes Suretyship and Financial guarantee. I have analyzed the actual meaning of the debt security and its legal instruments in first part of my paper. There was a significant change in the Czech legal order since the new civil code came into power. Before the change, the institute of Suretyship was referred to in the "old" civil code Law no. 40/1960 Coll. for civil right purposes and in business code Law no. 513/1991 Coll. for business law purposes. After the recodification of private law, all legal obligations are now jointly in the "new" civil code Law no. 89/2012 Coll. The second part of my paper was dedicated to an analysis of this change and its impact. I went thru the effective legal treatment of the debt security, explained the effective debt security legal system in the civil code (analyzed the general provisions joint for all security institutes) in the next chapter. Furthemore, I dealt with the first of the security institutes being the topic - suretyship. First, I explained the meaning historical evolution since the Roman law, thru middle age, Austria-Hungary and the last century till today. Afterwards I dealt with the basics of suretyship, focused on the main differences...

Kašparová, Michaela ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
The purpose of my thesis called Mediation in Family law disputes is to analyse benefits between mediation process and judicial proceedings and also point out to references of mediation usage in foreign countries. Another motivation to select this thesis subject is new Act n. 202/2012 Collection of Laws., about mediation. This thesis is divided into eight chapters. Opening chapter is focused on family basic function, especially society influence on family as a basic social unit. The further analysis describes bound of marriage from historical point of view, basic principles of Family law and specific position of Family law subjects. Second chapter defines term conflict, treats of conflict description based on main characteristics. Further analyze is about ways how to resolve conflicts and their justification to have minimum impact on relationships. At the conclusion of this chapter are described conflict mutual influence, communication and mediation. Third chapter deals with basic mediation aspects, description of basic mediation term, historical evolution from ancient time to the present days and shows different characters between mediation and judicial settlement. End of third chapter is focused on three specific principles in mediation, especially pointing out the benefits which are bringing...
