Honomichl, Petr ; Zenáhlík, Aleš (advisor) ; Jurák, Daniel (referee)
Title: Analysis of the selected swimmer's breaststroke technique Complained by: Petr Honomichl Supervisor: Mgr. Aleš Zenáhlík Objectives: The aim of the study was to analyse the breaststroke swimming technique of a selected swimmer. Within the framework of the performed analysis, we focus on the control of technical deficiencies in the movement of individual body segments with a link to the overall movement coordination, which affects the resulting efficiency of movement in the aquatic environment. Methods: From the video footage, an analysis of the breaststroke swimming technique was performed. The data collection was carried out at the swimming pool of the swimming club SK Motorlet Praha. During filming, videos of the swimmer from the side above the water, from the side and the front under the water were taken. The video material was taken with a camera borrowed from the fund of the Department of Swimming, Aquatic and Technical Sports, FTVS UK. The video footage was processed using Kinovea software. Images with technical flaws were selected. Based on the technical deficiencies found, appropriate corrective exercises were suggested to improve the given deficiencies in technical execution. Results: On the basis of the analysis of the breaststroke swimming technique after the first shooting,...

The influence of the menstrual cycle on the sports performance of cyclists
Podskalská, Anna ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Soukupová, Vendula (referee)
Title: Influence of the menstrual cycle on the sports performance of female cyclists. Objectives: The aim of this work is to analyse the performance of female elite athletes in cycling in different phases of the menstrual cycle using a questionnaire survey and laboratory testing. And to find out whether menstrual cycle and its phases affect their sport performance. Methods: In our thesis we used two method. The first method was a non-standardized anonymous questionnaire sent to women who are or have been involved in cycling. The second method was a laboratory stress test of three female cyclists. We tested each proband during three phases of her menstrual cycle. During the menstrual, follicular and luteal phases. Results: We found that the menstrual cycle affects athletic performance. Based on the questionnaire we learned that they perceived the influence of the menstrual cycle on their sport performance, whether due to physical or psychological difficulties. Testing showed that during the follicular phase, all probands experienced an increase in maximal performance. At the same time, they all described their mood as cheerful and energetic. During the luteal phase, on the other hand, all probands experienced a decrease in maximum performance. At the same time, they defined their mood as neutral to...
The effect of controlled dry weight training on trunk and upper limb strength in former swimmers and hobby athletes.
Srch, Jiří ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Zenáhlík, Aleš (referee)
Title: The effect of controlled weight training on trunk and upper limb strength in former swimmers and hobby athletes Objectives: The aim of our study was to determine whether the effect of several weeks of controlled intervention would improve upper limb and trunk muscle strength in a selected population group. Methods: We used a Biokinetic swim trainer and a Cybex device to measure upper limb and trunk strength. To determine body composition, the TANITA MC-980 was used. Data were processed in MS Excel and SPSS, using Wilcoxon nonparametric paired test and Cohen's d coefficient. Results: Both research groups showed improvements in upper limb and trunk muscle strength. However, none of the measured changes were statistically significant. Thus, the results can only be evaluated within our research sample. The probands with no previous competitive swimming career showed greater improvements in upper limb and trunk muscle strength than the proband group with a previous competitive swimming career. Keywords: muscle strength, Biokinetic, Cybex, Covid-19
Comparative analysis of swimming technique
Laštiaková, Ema ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Hubená, Kristýna (referee)
Title: Comparative analysis of the swimming technique crawl Aim: The aim of this thesis is to perform a comparative analysis of the swimming technique crawl on a swimmer of younger school age. The comparison will focus on the different parts of the body that affect the efficiency of the movement. Another goal is to design and apply technical exercises to eliminate them based on the performed analysis and the detected errors and to perform an additional analysis of the correct technique. Methods: A comparison of the swimming technique crawl was performed for a proband of younger school age in the swimming pool in Tyrš's house. The swimming technique crawl was filmed from the left side under the surface, from the left side on the surface and then from the forehead on the surface. Subsequently, we analyzed the acquired data using Kinovea and the acquired footage was compared with the optimal model technique. Subsequently, we suggested suitable exercises to improve and correct the errors found. The filming took place in the beginning of 2022. After that, we performed the analysis of the obtained results. Results: The results of this work show that feedback to children through pictures, videos and verbal description has a significant positive effect on the change of crawl technique. Based on the...

Methods: Searches relevant scientific literature, articles and documents on the Internet. Results: Through the analysis of body weight training, it was found that street workout is under certain conditions, a suitable and attractive form of exercise that can be included among regular physical activities. This form of exercise together with the created stack of exercises could attract those interested in this type of physical activity not only because of its attractiveness and availability, but also as a prevention of a number of diseases related to the area of the back muscles. Diagnosis and correction of muscle imbalances with regard to swimmers aged 12 to 17 years.
Jandáková, Simona ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Jurák, Daniel (referee)
Title: Diagnosis and correction of muscle imbalances with regard to swimmers aged 12 to 17 years Objectives: The main aim of this work is to find out what imbalances selected teen swimmers have. Further verify the effectiveness of the proposed compensation program for these swimmers. Methods: Diagnosis of the musculoskeletal system was performed using selected tests for measuring balance abilities (Romberg test, Flamingo), examination of muscle shortening and weakening (testing according to Janda and Kopřivová and Čermák), evaluation of postural and respiratory stereotype and evaluation of deep stabilization system bed). These tests were applied to a selected group of swimmers. The measured values served as an input test (pretest), on the basis of which a compensation program was designed. After the end of the three-month compensation program, a control measurement (posttest) followed, the results of which were compared with the pretest. Key words: Swimming, compensatory exercises, prevention of injuries to swimmers, intervention program, stabilization and mobilization system
