Prevention of poor posture and muscle imbalances in pupils in the 1st grade of elementary school - questionnaire survey

Title: Prevention of poor posture and muscle imbalances of pupils in the 1st grade of elementary school - questionnaire survey Objectives: Finding the frequency of use of the means of preventing poor posture and muscle imbalances in elementary schools in the South Bohemian Region. Methods: I used a quantitative method, a questionnaire, which contained 22 questions, to develop the research in the diploma thesis. I sent the questionnaire by e-mail to the management of 250 schools in the South Bohemian Region with a request to resent it to 1st grade teachers. The questionnaire contained closed, semi-closed and open questions. A total of 92 completed questionnaires were returned. I processed the questionnaires into graphs and evaluated the individual answers. Based on the evaluated answers, I answered my research questions. Results: The results of the questionnaire survey showed that 32.6% of teachers in the South Bohemian Region regularly engage in compensatory exercise, which includes stretching and strengthening exercises, every PA lesson. According to my survey, only 29.3% of teachers add physical education moments to their lessons regularly every day. Title: Movement as a prevention of arthritis of the knee joint Objectives: The aim of my work is to sum up all the available facts concerning the problems related to arthritis of the knee joint and, on the basis of the results of the literature search, to make a recommendation of a training programme for its prevention. The intended objective is to focus on the causes of its formation and development and to use this knowledge in the suggestion of the training programme which could help to prevent or delay the onset and reduce the progression of this disease. Methods: For the Bachelor work I will be collecting, sorting and organising all my information. As a result of this examination of literature I will achieve my intended goal for this Bachelor work. Results: I found out that we cannot cure arthritis of the knee joint, we can only reduce its development and final results. The most important part is the prevention, which includes daily functional exercise and specially designed programmes. Developed muscles stabilise the knee joint and therefore intelligently planned daily activity is important for the construction of an intact knee joint which is needed to ensure safe operation in many sports and even in our daily activities.
