The Bachelor thesis concerns to the Management of Human Resources and its influence of the work effectivity in the SICO RUBENA, s. r. o. Company. This thesis wants to achieve increasing of the job productivity by proposed recommendations. The theoretical part contents summary of findings about the Management of Human Resources and Human Resources activities, which need to be improved. The practical part includes the analysis of the current company state, results of investigation and suggestions for improving of current situation.

Paired comparisons in ANOVA

The problem of testing multiple hypotheses at once is called the problem of multiple testing. We focused on comparing more than two means in one- way analysis of variance, also known as ANOVA. We dealt with the Tukey me- thod, the Hothorn-Bretz-Westfall method, the bootstrap-based methods and also the Bonferroni method and its modification by the Holm method, the last two methods being popular mainly for their simplicity. We focused in detail on the asymptotic behavior of these methods and then compared them using si- mulations in terms of compliance with the prescribed level and in terms of average strength. Bonferroni's method, which is conservative, is known to lose strength compared to other methods. However, its modification of Holm's method, which is also conservative, in some cases by its strength equates to other more complex methods. 1

Sample Quantiles

If the distribution of random variable is uknown, we are not able to figure out the value of theoretical quantile. In case there is a random sample from this distribution, it is possible to estimate the value of theoretical quantile. This es- timation is called sample quantile. This work is focused on nine frequently used varieties of sample quantile. They will be compared by means of characteristics that can be examined when speaking about sample quantile. All these varieties will be demonstrated on simple example. Finally, there will be shown that all these versions of sample quantile are consistent estimators of theoretical quan- tile. The construction of confidence interval for theoretical quantile will be the topic of the final part of the work. 1

Seeds surface plasma modification

Aim of diploma work is research of plasma influence on seed germination in some plant species (wheat and oat). The complex work includes parts both physical-technological and biological. The work discusses a selection of useful seeds for the plasma treatment and describes parameters of plasma processing. It discusses results of germination testing and early growth of seedlings. Parts of the work are electron microscopy output, data processing result, and appendix.
